to my knowledge, get a male and a female that each have high base stats in something like stam or damage, breed them together till you get a baby that combines all the best stats of the parents, then keep breeding till you get a second one with the best stats of the parnts combined, then breed those 2 children together untill a mutation happens that you like and replace the parent with that child, rinse and repeat.
