Get a doedic for stone, make a farm for growing veggies and berries, get some bees for honey, there are a good many things you could do before outright starting a breeding line.

you unlock tek engrams via boss fights. you also are rewarded with element as well. thus, you are able to do the bossfight, get element, use element to craft with the tekengrams you got, and now you have tek stuff yay

depends on what you mean, some servers are very unstable like gen 2, client crashes can be anything so depends on what type off crash, crash to desktop (CTD) with or without game error code, blue screen off death (bsod) or black screen off death, each are relative to different problems

Or make structures (stone, etc). Make narcotics in a chem bench.

Is there anyway to reset a map without loosing progress? Because my Fjordur whenever I go into the Abberation cave there are zero loot crates. There was 1 yellow one when I first started playing the map and nothing since. I do want to reset the creatures persay but just the map in case it's glitched out.

because levels are determined by the amount of stat points a given creature has.
If two different wild creatures have different stat layouts, you can easily get higher bonuses.
In fact, on my server, the default level is 150 (225 at max taming efficiency), so for tek creatures that's 180 (~269 w/100% tame efficiency).
I have 2 269-ish tek raptors who, when their stats are passed along to the baby perfectly with no mutations, would have a baby at 298.
I just caught another one that has a weight stat that's 13 points higher than the others (weight b eing the one stat below 40 IIRC in the breeding pair), and adding in those 13 points of weight should bring the total level up to 311 I believe.
Level 1=0 points in everything.
On official servers this is important because there is a hard max level cap of 450 I believe, including mutations and level ups.
On unofficials I believe there is no level cap by default
so it's possible to zero out all stats you don't want and then just get max level in one or two categories/stats, and then get 449 levels of only stats you want.
though of course stats themselves have a hard cap of 255, which is why most people only level them up to 254
I might be getting one or two things slightly wrong but that's the general gist

if you mean wipe the game to vanilla, you might be able to upload your character and wipe the map, thus saving character data, and then download your character on the new map.

Ok, I have a problem with the server I'm hosting thru gportal, whenever I enable S+ (The only mod I am using) All engram are able to be unlocked, and I do not want that, for example when I am playing on the island I only want the island engrams to be unlocked and so on. I can confirm something in S+ is triggering it since I have troubleshot with enabling and disabling the mod (When its disabled they say unlock on scorched earth or whatever and when its enabled they can be unlocked), I have tried mindwiping and still the engrams are available, is there perhaps a setting or ini in need to enter to change this, if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.

Wiki says they spawn at 5% chance as the tek variant instead of the normal, so scouting all the usual rex spots is the way to go probably

Baby health/hunger does that, just watch and make sure the hunger keeps rising and falling. They prefer mejoberries, so just keep that in mind. Don’t force feed them the food, that doesn’t do anything
