I started a new character in Fjordur and survived my first night :D It got -19, I had 3 campfires and was holding a torch. Didn't realise to grab the standing torch engram. Would've died, I had 11 health left when it started to warm up a bit and I survived.

I thought it was super fun. It's a survival game, you ain't playing it if you don't die 50 times as a newbie.

Alpha allos doesnt exist, it was a pack alpha not an entire alpha, pack alphas have small orange glow on their bodies while alphas have an entire orange aura around them. They're much bugger than normal, and deal significant damage. If you manage to kill one it will say "your (-) killed a level (-) Alpha (-)

Only if you have it in a location where it cannot reach you when it aggroes. Depending on the map you are in, there are usually good spots to kite the giga in. Use a flyer to get away from it in time or move after it.

Desmodus gives cave flight, night vision, blood bag harvesting, Sanguine Elixir, and can let you shoot from the back of it

Andrew just runs around kind of fast, and bites + has a knockback kick. Minigun saddle is kinda good but overall this thing pales in comparison

The problem with giga is the high torpor drain, you need to be able to keep shooting at it at all times or everything you do is wasted. You can shoot 100 arrows into the giga, lose it for a minute cause it moves or you need to move, and all torpor is gone.

you need to feed em allot of corpses, i suggest using an ovis with its levels dumped into HP to tame them

there is no science behind sometimes they just disappear when they're not rendered or just despawn when they're too bugged with the mesh.(I've been trying to kill some alpha raptors but when they collide with some surface they disappear randomly)

There literally has to be an exact answer though, ark is a game and has both spawn and despawn conditions. Clipping under the mesh and other glitches are another issues entirely though

So from what I understand is that

1. there's always an upper cap on how many dinos can spawn on the entire map
2. There's an upper cap on how many dinos can spawn in a specific area/chunk (?)
3. Dinos spawn when you enter render range (?)
4. They can despawn if you pull them out of their spawn area and if someone leaves their render range

am i missing something
