From my experience, my favorite option is a waterfall just south of the island's ice biome.

You have a river, a lot of space, deep sea water for a dock and close to everywhere that matters.

Be careful because on rare occasions, strong carnivores may bug and fall down from the waterfall onto your base, so it's good to put spikes on the ledge just in case

Rexes are OK but theyre simple creatures. They have high health and high damage basic attack. Thats about it. Every other "boss killer" has gimmicks and tactics that make them better and more fun to use.

Gigas are the same way but their damage is only remotely matched by a fully fully buffed Shadowmane

i am currenly installing and reinstalling ark on ym xbox to hopefully fix it

cuz like whenver i quit to menu etc it wouldnt save either

I believe you can find info about how to report an issue to Wildcard over in the Game Support channels, and can maybe even report it there. Not sure about MS as I do not currently own an Xbox.

@vagrant dust i wanna tell u what happened yesterday, i started a new world on fjordur, an hour in i was finally able to tame a parasaur, instantly died in 3 seconds. 2 hours later of dying constantly i tamed another parasaur, it lived for a little while then died in one shot by a rocket launcher turkey, tamed a raptor i knocked out a while ago, then fell into lava as i said previously, respawned and tamed a trike, it died by an argy and a raptor before i could make a saddle, then a dilo broke my campfires making me die by hypothermia but of course not after a trex came flying off a mountain to kill my other trike i was taming. then i respawned and now im here

she died to a raptor attack

Well, yes, generally if an issue just goes away and doesn't seem to be affecting many people, it's not really seen as something that's worth reporting and/or investigating

its just so irritating everything was going so well when i respawned. i found this trike i wanted to tame, but then this dilo spat on me. i had to run but then i had broken bones by hypothermia, so i ran back to my cmapfires to heal, lost the dilo. then i heard a noise looked up and there was a flying trex, so i tried running with broken bones. a dilo spat on me AGAIN broke my campfires, trex killed my trike then i died by hypothermia
