Each node has a certain amount of harvest damage needed to destroy it. Higher quality weapons deal more harvest damage, therefore harvesting more resources (to a certain degree [each item has a maximum amount of resources it can collect per hit, with dinos having the most]) and doing it in less time

And yes you can bypass it in a couple ways

You can use commands to give all explorer notes, however this is very laggy and will probably crash the game

Or you can raise the player level cap by 10 via ini, but that requires a lot of manual copy and paste which would take a while

I can only speculate that's what happened. I just loaded into my rag which said it had a file there but when I loaded in it brought me to the character creation screen. No beds or nothing like that.

Check your steam sync

If the file is corrupted the game won't quit whining about it. If you loaded into a clean world then that means the file isn't there to begin with

Check your local files for your saves and see what the last modified date is under Ragnaroksavedarkslocal

If there ain't any other files in that folder then you're out of luck. Only way to avoid this situation is backing up the save occasionally so you have something to roll back on

I'm praying that your steam sync didn't wild out and overwrite the files but that can happen of you launch without syncing it properly

The game automatically generates anti corruption backups occasionally so if it's the same world then you'll be able to see older versions of the save with their corresponding date stamps.

Nah if there isn't anything older than the last time you launched the games loaded a fresh save

The game creates an anti corruption backup when you each time you shut down the save iirc but it also keeps a handful of older save files as well

It's like 5 or something it's been a while

If there's none of that in there looks like you're out of luck. You could maybe try and see if you can restore it through steam sync but I'm not sure if that's possible and I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to how steam sync works

40k Is practically immortal and only the toughest of creatures would be able to compete with rex with that much health. Like titans, maybe gigas, depends on what bosses. Broodmother-not a chance she'll win on any mode.

I often times will set a baseline on my rex for 20k hp 2k stamina and 20 of those will beat the weaker gamma bosses like broodmother, gigantopethicus, maybe the new monkey boss. But it's not so easy for the dragon it might be if you really dish it out but most times you won't so. Only because he flies allot and does double damage to carnivores, And his damage is percentile based.

But because nowadays I have way stronger rex I can get away with 30k hp 3k stamina and 500+ damage usually higher, to best allot of things. For the dragon though it's better to have maybe theri's or rhinos possibly even mammoths.

Scorched I haven't heard about the manticore dealing bonus damage yet (never have faced him so I'm only so credible there.) Abberation can't use rex. They mostly use stegos, rock drakes, or spinos. For extinction there's almost no limits for some of the titans because you don't teleport so some people against better judgment bring gigas.

they are glass cannons though so if you choose to use em, work on a clean HP line and give em good saddles
mine were enough to shred dragon on beta and gamma (in the valg boss arena) with 7k HP and 37 armour saddles

I do it because rex is my go to adventuring mount. I don't use specific ones so I make them all something I'll use. But you're right. If you don't intend to Duke it out on their backs they have unlimited stamina so pumping damage is better.
