By chance is anybody currectly playing a single player game on The Island map? My husband has been playing on it, and for the past few days dino's are respawning when they go out of LOS and swimming through the outer wall of the map. His tamed dino's also will just swim, fly, or run in any direction that's 200+ meters away from them while on passive. Dino count will help in general but isnt a full fix, dinowiping is a bandaid, preventing hibernation is the fix

Preventing hibernation fixes resource and dino respawn bugs, and allows buff-based mods (that apply their mods only in specific circumstances) to work, allows the S+ dino finder to work properly, and I do highly recommend running with the launch paramater. But I do have to warn that if you later re-enable hibernation (remove the launch option), it can cause crashes. This seems to be able to be fixed by launching with certain launch params and dinowiping, but I've not run any save like that for an extended amount of time so I can't say if it's 100% effective in the long term or not.
You'll need to add it to the steam launch paramaters- Right click on ark on steam, properties. Add exactly this- Hyphen included- -preventhibernation
It also increases ram usage quite a bit, but is very much worthwhile
