So many things in Ark has been nerfed that I had enjoyed, for the benifit of more balanced PvP. I do have a little frustration for the changes taking away my joys. I remmeber getting a thrill going super fast on my 300% ptero... I've never felt that sense of pleasure since the flier nerf.

You don't. You stack 20 HP muts on your males, and then stack 20 melee muts on another male, and only then do you breed a female of one of those to combine them. If your breeding females have more than 0 muts against the counter, you'll be wasting mutation slots

Upload to a terminal should be able to allow you to make a new survivor, you have to 'exit to menu' during the prompt on where to spawn your old survivor.

If you "create" new survivor during the 'choose to spawn' should overwrite your old survivor.

Personal preferences and varies in different maps and players. I personally like having 50 to resistance (I forget the stat name) 300 health at minimum and 350 weight minimum (so I can carry a stack of metal ingots). But that's me on official PvE.

I can't share my screen shot, but I have 9,938.2 hours on ARK and can honestly say I have lost stuff due to bugs, even a character with full tek Engrams when that was possible. I have also done my share of quiting, just to come right back. There is more they can do, I agree, but I just don't believe that WC was prepare for how popular their game was going to be. Not that it's an excuse for things to go undone, but from when ARK was in beta to now, it has improve a good amount. Maintaining that improvement is where I see WC lacking.

Hm official servers should be up for a while now (Judging by how my imprint timers progressed after the patch came out)
If you play unofficial that might still take a bit, as they wait with the roll out to unofficial hosts a bit.
If you are still verifying that’s normal, can take a while. Servers don’t seem as populated as normal atm, so I guess there’s still some who aren’t done updating atm

Gen2 is beautiful (albeit lacking in variety in those 2 massive biomes) but has very little challenge mainly due to that tek suit

well if the downloaded patch regards / overwrites many files, its normal to see like 100+ GB
most patches that have things like "floating foliage" and such fixed, require 50+ GB to be verified/patched

but to be fair for todays update they gave a warning (was 200 GB to verify on steam with all DLCs)

well theres a general cap for structures to be placed in a certain area, can happen on official too, but it requires ALOT of things to be placed close to each other.
since its an unofficial, the owner could have set it to anything they like so who knows

yea very most likely. ive so far once seen a dude who managed to hit the structure cap in his base on official, it was many layers and had like different things for decoration everywhere, like lamps, tek jump pads etc etc, so theres defo a mechanic/cap in place somewhere to limit structures within a certain range (Hellrazor on Rag42, if anyone wants to check, was some years ago tho lmao)
