No, I've got around 900 hours on the game. Most of it is on Rag and
non official servers where the last thing that was my job was gathering weapon materials. The real reason I'm asking this is because I'm an arrogant idiot, and thought the the old tactics would always be the best. However, games change and I don't really acknowledge that with ark. I just thought that explaining that was unnecessary, and it'd be easier if you guys got the type of question you usually get. I think the only strat I know that's still valid is where and when to grab explorer notes.

Its all good, I think the best bet is farming up forges. As far as other resources go, I assume you need pearls for electronics; instead hunt Tek creatures as they drop scrap metal, oil, and electronics. Use a chainsaw if you can as it yields FAR more than a hatchet. That should help with a lot of your issue

If you need pearls for saddles, look for trilobites and leeches, they give a handful each kill as well as oil

Again, chainsaw yields better results

Since you likely dont have QoS, it is possible for a single connection to saturate the network and cause others to be unable to connect. This happens most often with streaming video services

I attempted to do some shard runs between Christmas event and the current one but the lag / rubberbanding was so insane i thought it’ll crash any second xD (did eventually multiple times but when I was back thankfully, at my base^^)

There are more than enough bugs and glitches in the first ark that the idea of a second one is absurd and also will not be purchased. It is poor practice to abandon the development of a game with extensive exp packs and a laundry list of broken mechanics, glitches, and bugs that cost survivors heavily in many cases. It is starting a thing and then refusing to finish it because it's just too much work and it'll be easier to start fresh.. make it free to play if devs no longer want to fix the common problems like death in bed/sleep pods, enormous fall damage from short mounts, death upon dismount, map and environment devouring players and tames -- to name a few notorious issues we experience pretty regularly. I'm trying to run ark in vr on my pc on my oculus rift cv1. I've done everything that I'm supposed to. Oculus client is running, steam vr is running, I launched the game, pressed enable VR HMD, and it crashed. It says that the problem is located in (starting in wherever ark is stored for you) ARK/Engine/Plugins/Runtime/OculusRift. If anyone wants, I can send a screenshot of the error code to them. Also, my pc is fully capable of running vr well. It can run things like beat saber, rec room, and vr chat just fine. Specs are ryzen 5 5600x and a radeon rx 6600xt.

We tamed it on official pve, we got it today. No we tamed it in the cave. We put a canon on our quetzal before going in the cave(by the water, cause right outside you can't build).
Once we found the golem, I flew above it with Owl and kept barely out of reach and my friend hit it with cannons til it knocked out.
Getting aim right was annoying. I'd bring double the cannons cause you will need practice shots since the quetzal moves a little.
