I was able to knock them out the old traditional way in Gen 1 but no taming bar change while they in the cave, in my experience.

Im pretty sure if you want to glide with the sino you press the button, you hold it to parachute down. Btw if you run out of stam in the air it automatically parachutes

Someone catches you with a flyer, or tries to commit suicide by eating rotten meat, poop or something from your inventory. And then try dragging your body out of there. Depending on where you are, you may recover the stuff or not

juvenile and adolescent wyverns dont eat meat. Only adult. If you dont have milk, there are a few things you can do. Keep it from dying, by using a daeodon/snow owl. Also dinos tend to go into stasis when noone is in render, so staying away from it while its growing up might help. Probably not on official though, I hear they have really long grow times

I would suggest searching youtube for how to tame a managarmr. I think the easiest way now would be with a harpoon/net, but the dino gate method should still work pretty well too.
