Not really no. The only usecase I've ever had for riot is finding it premade in a drop or something and using it as a disposable boss armor prior to getting any good flak blueprints.

Riot shields are useful though. Just not the armor.

I got a ramshackle compound bow blueprint with 121% dmg, but the materials needed to craft it are:

175 cementing paste
199 metal ingots
222 polymer..
It's a bit much for 21% more damage, right?

@silent matrix the chem bench is a upgraded mortar n pestle. Its way faster and it gives 50% bonus

Still proud of my greatest construction project
You know that bay to your left at South Spawn 1 on the Island?
Made a boathouse that stretched across the entire thing and let me walk to the other side
It even came with a submerged floor rather than just dirt, gave it a really nice industrial look

Decided i'd try out an official ark pve server to see what it was like to play on one of those. After installing battleye 3 times I figured nah lets just stick to single player and direct connect unofficial. Between this and the absolutely abysmal join screen it's a wonder anyone at all plays official. Icing on the cake was having to dig up the uninstall in the ark directory just to remove the BEservice.exe that apparently installed itself just fine without showing up on normal remove methods.
Apologies for the rant and yes, I know how to get it to install. It's just so very much not worth the effort
