its not the hardest map but the heat of the desert and lack of water makes it hard

prioritize water, like making a base around a water vein and you should be set for early game, get the camel lookin things for mobile water tanks and once you get desert cloth you should be good

You can only build so far out from a foundation. You’ll just need to build another in the direction of the ramp or use a pillar

Depends on the map. On the island, hunting tek creatures (about 30 per with a pick/hatchet), trilobites, or basilos (500-700 depending on the level). A tamed basilo also passively produces a version of oil that spoils. And there are oil nodes in the snow biome around the beach

I find rafts very useful when I’m alone. Just throw 5-6 Ankys on board and float up to a mountain fill the ankys inventory to the max my argy can carry and float on home
