Trophy: Veteran Paleontologist (Archaeology Enthusiast)
Problem:
• The trophy is stuck at 106/107
• I have 100% of all Dossiers unlocked on The Island (no locks, everything shows as completed)
• I have tamed every single creature in the game

If you crouch and walk up to them they don’t run. If you run up to them they will run in the burrow and if you fall in one of their burrows (depending on the burrow) it will attack you 😅

I figured it out, you can't enter tunnels while mounted on the burrowbuck like you can with the burrow. You need to dismount and manually use the tunnel, then the burrowbuck will follow you through

If you're playing on the weekends, officials have increased rates to x2, throughout the week they are x1. With mutton you will have to do the process of getting the Cerato drunk twice even on 2x

They arent quite the low quality ASE models that were just blocks, but more than a few creatures, including Acro and the new Araneo, have lower polygons and extruding parts are full block, like the araneo's spots/fangs/eyes and the Acro's eyes/spikes

The artifact of the hunter cave on the island is good for it, lots of araneos and it’s fairly easy and open so you could bring a variety of cave tames. Me n my boyfriend got a 150 there today :)

I forget the release date exactly but it's toward end of the month -- gen, Lost Island, fjordur, & crystal isles just aren't released yet and not sure all of them are returning the same as in ASE, although from what I understand they will be over time... gen1 been delayed for like 8+ months... so you can expect all of ASE maps in ASA by December 2046 if I live long enough to see the day lmao

I was able to log in my account in XBOX console and finally transferred back outside Astraeos. One way probably to get unstuck there is playing via GEFORCE (but i havent tried yet) .

Ping has to do with server traffic routing. Many of the "NA" servers traffic have been getting routed through the EU and back for one. So depending on where you are and which server you choose that IP range could be one of the "slower" ones. I used to have a table of the ranges here in NA that weren't being routed to EU but no longer have that. But you can look on battle metrics and do a tracrt on the ip endpoint and figure that out. Forget the name of the company but there's a thread about it in the steam forums.

I really don't understand their logic for that routing and frankly it's rather deceptive. Found the thread, called "None of the servers are hosted in the USA"

From one of my own posts,
"Using battlemetrics NA-PVP-Arkpocalypse-TheIsland7 as an example that was marked as "North America"

The first four hops were my isp then cogentco, which is an internet provider in the US but then it got weird...after it hopped to cogentco it went to twelve99, a subsidiary of Arelion based out of Sweden....

Then I started looking at all the NA official servers....most all of them have the same 5.62.xxx.xxx subnet located out of Sunnyvale, California. So it isn't that they are physically outside the US but the routing is going outside the US which is why the ping is so bad.

There were a few exceptions, NA-PVE-Valguero6186 is in Dulles,VA along with a few other servers. The routes stayed in the US for those endpoints.

So whatever the heck Nitrado is doing on their network is the problem. So finding a good unofficial server that's US based self hosted is going to be the most reliant for low ping I think unless you check the connection to where it is on the official network."

Because the "official servers in new york" are a hub, if you connect from Europe it skips the hub which is why people using Euro vpn tend to have lower ping than just connecting to the hub normally. When I VPN to Denmark, I have around 60-100 ping as opposed to my normal 120-200ish on most Official servers. (Note that the server also blatantly lies about ping and net stats when connected to a failing hub)
The easiest way to go about it would be a net trace for the server IP, VPN to that region for best latency.

Yes there are some servers actually hosted in the USA after too many repeated hub crashes, some of them get migrated back after a while until you report bad performance enough times on the official server down tickets. I assume this is nitrado using some of their private server allocation. I've noticed that trying to stay living on US hosted servers (Official) becomes impossible because they all eventually seem to end up hosted euro after a few months from what I've experienced. Servers like ARKPOC or other modded official servers may not apply to this; have had great experiences with ARKPOC since there are live mods there (like there should be everywhere) and most of the servers are actually hosted where they state they are.
