there are many caves on this game, some very easy to raid "offline" and others that are stronger but ark is a game where doesn't really matter too much if omeone wants to raid you and they are persistent enough it'll happen xD

Id use a deinosuchus for this. It moves a bit slower than a Sarco but is much much much stronger. Sarco is good if you cant get a deinosuchus saddle but get a Deinosuchus when you can. Idk if sarco can go toe-to-toe with a meg but it can definitely outrun one.

Asteros map is amazing so that’s worth it.

The two tames available are good and both have quite good taming. Both are incredible to use too.

Yeah they changed it so they only give sigils in the city a while back unfortunately. You can change that with a ini setting on the Better Outposts mod if you are on a unofficial server though.

Good afternoon! I love Astreos and I believe the number of people playing compared to other maps shows how good it is. However, in the last 3 days, it has been totally unstable. Sometimes the ping hits 800+ and the server crashes, besides constant mini rollbacks and freezes. I believe if the official server had a consistent 2x ping, they would reduce these spikes on weekends and during events.

Unofficial? It's a bug with the default save system, you can fix it by using a server manager or setting the config to save the character data into the map file (what official does)

To fix launch the server with these params:
-usestore -BackupTransferPlayerDatas -converttostore
usestore will store characters onto the map file instead (what official does), backuptransferplayerdatas provides temporary character backup files on transfers, converttostore will move your existing character file data into the map file

Did you spawn in as that new character? Or are you just on the create a character screen? If you're on the creation screen you should just be able to back out and it'll bring you back your original character and let you spawn on a bed

formatting your pc is never going to fix an external network issue, but it can be fun. if you need to use a VPN, your ISP or LAN (shared internet/hotspot?) is probably either blocking the game, blocking games as a whole, or has really screwy UDP NAT behavior that is breaking it unintentionally

Is there a place were we could put in suggestions? I recently learned that in order to use something like the cryo hospital from lost colony I have to download the entire 40 gig map. This game has so many issues with its size. Can't they have it were long as you own the dlc you can use it even if you don't have the map downloaded? This would save people so much space. Imagine not having to download 50-60 gigs of maps and still enjoying the equipment the DLC's give you when you buy them. I didn't mind buying all the DLC but having to download the map to use something like the cryo hospital seems silly. If I start the download and instantly pause it the hospital instantly lets me use it too.

Check out the pictures from the crunch. It's fine.. I shouldn't effect 90% of pve players. Maybe ones that have private servers that allow full cave building. They are making the entrance to most caves on Lost Colony smaller for defence reasons. Just makes them look.. bit sad. 😒🥺. Some have very interesting ins and outs.. shame to change them. Like, most RP servers are primitive, so no turrets, and plant Xs are usually either banned or supposed to be set to wild only

A lot of them require RP justification for PVP and raids

Single player and non dedicated work the same way. Scan mode on the gene scanner only really works on a server.

It's basically working but due to the way its set up it can't detect dinos in areas that are in hibernation. So you have to use a mod to remove hibernation on single player or non dedicated game modes.

Server side setting unfortunately. I wouldn't recommend it on a PvP server though since it can give you performance issues during base raids.

I've had frequent crashes from it when destroying large structures.
