I think 1 more major update? but everything else is in, there's multiple available bosses, caves, OSDs, element veins, dinos from most maps. there's nothing already on the map & accessible that ISN'T finished, just a section that you can't access yet that isn't made, but it's nothing size-wise compared to the rest

for me the update looked small. Then game game was "installing" for more than 20 mins. Then I gave up and later it turns out it downloaded 50GB more. Now the game doesn't start after it "finished" the update. Now that I've written all that, I think I'll validate files for the first time in years, it may even be steam's fault this time

You get admins that seem to care about creating a fair/fun environment. The community over there is infinitely more friendly and usually goes out of their way to help each other. There's no pillar spam all over the map, preventing people from building. Abandoned bases get taken down pretty fast.

I personally dont like astreos tho. Something about the way it looks and the oversaturation of colors.

Hab früher echt viel Ark Survival Evolved gespielt, dann aber eine ziemlich lange Pause eingelegt und mich ehrlich gesagt auch erstmal gegen Ascended gesträubt 😅
Jetzt hab ich aber 2 Wochen Urlaub und richtig Bock, wieder reinzugehen.

Mir ist wichtig, dass es kein komplett tryhard PvP ist, sondern eher entspannt – bisschen aufbauen, bisschen kämpfen, aber ohne 24/7 Stress.

theris can do overseer, so can rexes, if u used theris vs teh dragon and only 5 survived, i would try to get more melee on them, assuming u were on 21k hp already

Is there a way to cheese the cavewalk? My friend once told me that it took him a couple hours to get his dinos through the cave he kept having to restart and roll back the server to the point before he went inside the cave cuz he lost his dinos in the lava

Speaking of ascension make sure you dump your entire inventory + hotbar + armors into a tame or theyll get wiped

Aye tactic was to whistle a quetzal through the cave then use cryos to release dino army once your through. Quetzal worked but your limited to tek suit and guns once your done. 😭

I wish these developers would fix their game. It's a bug nightmare. Now i have tames teleporting out of my base to 50/50 constantly and starving to death. Been at the same base location for over a year and now after the update I have a wormhole that kills tames. Do better wildcard. Fix your game and 8 million bugs it has. Stat wise yes. Main issue with them is just how big they are. They can seriously get in the way if you need to reposition etc. Friendly fire is also a concern if you allow them to use the breath attack.

You can starve / dehydrate / overheat / freeze to death in the right circumstances. If offline long enough even with good food / water and temperature control your body despawns. Tribemates can also kill you.

Also only safe place is a bed. If you weren't in one, all bets are off.

Heatwaves used to happen at least once a day on Scorched when the map came out, then once the next map dropped the heatwaves took longer and longer to spawn and I feel like that also affected the wyvern trench because it is getting to be how it was in ASE: empty. And now with Astraeos, I haven't seen a single person confirm heat waves are happening on that map. No one in our server cluster has seen a heat wave on Astraeos, either.

OK sorry I checked but with maximum difficulty turned on I was definitely getting levels in multiples of 5. Only thing I can suggest is double check your settings and if you're using mods check to see if you have any that mess with the levels on wild dinos.

I just found a different way to farm paste on Ast...there's a kind of sinkhole in the ocean at ~41/76. Fly in, there's an island. Not much spawns there-megalanias, abb spinos, sarcos and otters. The big wavy corals give paste when harvested, doedi seems best. Flat ones give fungal wood. I got over 3.5k paste in one run on 3x server...

Ping is generally network route / distance issue. Perhaps where you live is far away from the main backbone of the internet or you use a cheap ISP that reroutes traffic to save themselves money. If you are using a VPN you could turn it off and see if that’s causing the issue.

Get enough element to stay flying the whole time in a tek suit then you only have to worry about the balls flying at you, 2-3 shotguns on you should leave you plenty of shots without having to reload if a lot fly at you and you keep missing

Hello! How does one progress in this game? Playing on The Island, solo. I feel kind of stuck. I started south spawn 2, explored east. Currently using a Ankylosaurus to gather metal on an island southeast, I have tons of metal now, long neck rifle, iron tools etc. What does one do after? I tried going inwards, but all I saw was multiple Rexes (some alpha) just demolishing everything. I couldn't even land anywhere really to at least try to collect stuff

For next steps I’d recommend focusing on crafting plenty of narcotics and cross bows to try and knock some high level combat mounts. Theris and Rexes are both very good picks for this. When you have something to defend yourself with it’s a lot easier to explore without worries.

You should also focus on getting an Argentavis as soon as possible, they are incredibly versatile and good for both exploration and hauling large amounts of resources.

Argentavis are those birds you’ll see flying around mountains, about 3 times the size of Pteranadon

There are lots of ways to trap Dino’s, you don’t have to do that but it’s a lot easier and safer.

You can trap a Theri very easily with a couple of metal bill boards

You only need three, place two down like you’re making a triangle, and then lure the Theri in so he’s chasing you through the two signs. Then place the third down behind it

Really cheap and easy way to trap and knock out a Theri

Argentavis are only really hard because of the locations they spawn in, they’re usually surrounded by raptors, sabers, and other hostile predators. I’d recommend trying to shoot the one you want to tame from a good distance away to lure it close to you and away from other argies

I assume you’re playing on the island? A good spot to check is along the northeast coast of the island. Argies tend to spawn around there and you can lure them down to the beaches where it’s a bit safer to knock them out.

They generally fly around when they’re wild, that said they don’t move very fast and if you strafe them their turning isn’t so good so you can avoid most of their attacks while you shoot them to knock them out.

If you have flak armor, you can take a dozen hits at least before your health gets too low.

I generally don’t trap them anymore, but if you need a trap use 3 Dino gates, and two gate doors

that could be a lot of things, unfortunately. only thing i can suggest is uninstalling all mods and disabling cosmetic autoinstall, in case it is a corrupt or broken mod loading

Ok, we are dealing with that now. The issue is that he is so hungry he dies instantly, try putting a maeguana with the baby feeding on, so the green feeding circle is surrounding the pool, the essence spawns in the water, THEN, fill the maeguana with the proper food and then rebirth your dino. Try that, next time 🙂

Also have an idea for an in-game item, feel free to make it. A Tron inspired dirt bike or motorcycle. It can be built in the garage. An it can have grapples an light or Tek based shockwaves that stun creatures or in pvp can cause issues for other players using tek based things. There can be a painting shop part for it added to garage. A new tool that lets you repair on the fly, like a mechanic, some kinda wrench. I like the cars but it's be cool to get motorcycles in ark too. Do a whole play thru with just technology an no taming.

Also an idea for a creature/Tek inspired suit. Sacrifice a tame like griffin an get griffin wings that's on the suit. An you can sacrifice a rex or melee that gives you a boost melee trait suit. Also a machine or Tek that turns tames into traits.

Another idea is a transgenderiser. A Tek machine that swaps the sex of the tame an so you can breed it. Or a proper cloner, one that you can regrow a tame from it's soul an a bit of DNA taken with a DNA kit item. It'd be an incredible clone that can be customized with traits added in.

Whoever makes mods or if the developers want to implement those things, that'd be awesome.
