Single player world crashes on start up after running resource cache

Does anyone else have this issue I saw that outpost may cause it I just got to the point where I could try a cache and went well I won and got all my loot went home and logged off after that my lost colony world would crash on load up all other worlds are fine. Didn’t know if I could do anything to make sure that doesn’t happen again and if the ark devs are aware just can’t seem to find the answer I am looking for

I have moved drivers updated everything nothing fixed the problem until I used a backup save from the very start and that loaded started a new world and that worked too just want to know if the problem will be fixed so I don’t lose all my stuff again

Wyverns are not strong enough. I’ve had several that are 30k health and 2k damage die to things like meshed in patch of wyverns . In less than 30 seconds. There is no reason they couldn’t get a saddle. That’s like saying the carcha doesn’t need a saddle. I’m all for that btw, why do they need saddles? They are already strong enough… right?

No worries. I did reinstall AMD Adrenaline just now after using the removal tool. Strangely - there is no difference in FPS between Low & High settings. So im stumped. Was expecting a bit more from my rig. Thanks though. (Unless the FPS counter is wrong?!)

have you messed with you're adrenaline settings for ark? I know my adrenaline likes to turn on settings even after I turn them off every once in a while such as fluid motion frames which just destroys my framerate

have you used the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from guru3d? they are somewhat preferred over other software, and if so have you used their options that allow you to completely remove adrenaline then install it back? that may be worth a shot before fresh installing everything

your point as to why Wyverns should not have saddles is about realism. If you removed healing from Carcahs, its because its not realistic. Haven't played ark for years, and new to ascended. Why are there event mods when from what I can remember, events just happened at the scheduled time on its own. Why do we need mods for it now? Does it add anything new?

rewards from the events are part of the core game files, the mod is just the event mechanics

I'm on the Island and placed a waypoint exactly 3 squares north of me (typed in the coords to place it). Google says 1 square on the grid aka 10 latitude away is meant to be 1km but the waypoint 3 squares away from me is showing in the world as only 2km away. That implies that each square is only 666m across?

What do you mean? Polygon features is a little unclear. All 3D models like the Dinos in games are made up of many thousands of polygons with the texture on top and polygons are invisible. Polygons are just the x, y and z axis data of 3 points in a triangle used by the game to position the textures right.

So here is the list of things I have done rq

Replaced the SSD with a M.2
Set up a separate Partition for Steam
Reinstalled the OS and only installed Steam and This game
Used 4 revisions of GPU Software
Disabled On board Graphics
Forced PC to only use the 6600 XT Graphics Card
Booted in safemode and unstilled and reinstalled all graphics Drivers.

Ik its not a hardware issue cuz when I did that last step the Game booted right up ran at 100FPS Played it for 6 hours straight She went to bed loaded it the next day and its back to doing this 1FPS 100% GPU (Now in Taskmanager under 3D and utalization Task Manager is showing 13% Utalization Not 100 Like steam overlay is reporting)

So when I had it on the steam Overlay was saying the GPU was at 100% but task manager under 3D said the utalization for the 6600 XT was at 13% utalization and it said Disable it in bios and force the game to use the 6600 XT but even after that it was doing the same thing

try restarting the game and see if that makes your player appear and if it doesn't, hop into another map, create a new character and cheat it the Personal Cluster Storage

see if your items are there because the mod doesn't save items on the map

if the crash occurred before ya closed the inventory of the Personal Cluster Storage or within 5 seconds afterwards, your items might be gone because the mod didn't had enough time to update it's save file

Hmm in theory there are dino spawner mods maybe they would work and be more reliable than the default haha.

From memory preventhibernation makes it so other areas than where you are will still be active. But if they aren't spawning in new areas you travel to already it likely won't help. Dinos after wipe are meant to spawn as you travel to the area afaik.

Umm things far away normally don't do anything actively specifically due to entering hibernation when you leave the area. They disabled hibernation so far away things would still act if they leave it disabled. That's why I was telling them to remove it since it didn't fix thier issue.

My server cluster is saying Astraeos is the most stable and lag free map of all of them despite being the biggest map in the game? Maybe that's because the Astraeos dev is actively trying to make it that way and the base game devs didn't care about performance?

Probably because the creator of the map (as far as I know) can work on it at their own pace instead of having a strict quota to meet on top of actually caring about quality and the people playing on their map.

True Tales sounds mighty ambitious. What they stated in the roadmap reveal means they are literally doubling the size of Gen 1 and 2.

as a mod map, basically, it does not really have any of the additional features/code most story maps do. just a generic ark map, if quite well made. map size really has no effect on performance beyond dino count

Mutations. Add a chance for mutated babies to be born with a trait. It would be great QoL for farming traits.
