I’m in the worst area with my argy getting meat for my baby reaper and I have my baby wyvren out too! Been disconnected for over 45 min and I’m scared my reaper will die. So annoying! For all the money this game gets you’d think it would be fixed. Everyday this is a problem, constantly updating or crashing and almost always lagging or rubber banding! Because of this I will never recommend this game to anyone.

certain creatures and stuff are only available on certain maps so it depends on the experience you wanna have

generally on singleplayer the best experience is starting with 1 map and beating the ascension boss and then starting over on the next map until you finish all of them

you can transfer your stuff over if you want to on singleplayer and if its a server cluster with other players then yes you can if that cluster has all the maps

You can look at an unclaimed one and do the destroytribedinos command. Unclaimed should be their own tribe still, and it should do all unclaimed dinos on the map

Unless it auto added them to his tribe.

here's what you can do about the lag, increase shader cache in your gpu control panel, I've been playing with 3080, stutter galore and cosmetics missing. I went into the panel and set the shader cache to unlimited. IF your main drive is ssd or even nvme you should see drastical improvement of your average framerate too.

the actual solution is: dont put games on a hard drive in 2025. second best is junctioning the offending folders so it can never happen

well, the point of it is that it still happens when the game is not installed on your hdd, and the junction could work but the problem with that is if someone is using a smaller ssd and dont wanna use that ssd to cache all their games updates and they wanna store and patch some shittier games on the hdd, they cant do that anymore if theres a junction on the hdd temp folder

so the solution that covers up that problem is just telling steam to use your ssd to patch ark specifically

depends on how a server is setup a lot of admins customize there drops if they know how to most advanced admins do. if you have astraeos i hear a lot about the drops there but it is an incomplete map and no one should play or pay for it any further until Nekatus gets to work instead of posting to X or making more mods and dino's. he has official content we paid for and he has not completed it as he messes with all his other mods over what the community wanted which was the map.

The reasoning was quite stupid. Oh no, people are gambling with in game FIBER that therizinosaurs can harvest THOUSANDS of in seconds. That's how we used it, to actually play poker, you know THE GAME.

What's even more frustrating, people aren't going to spend money playing this fake in-game game. People are more inclined to pay real money for perfectly mutated dinosaurs >.>

But let's just completely ignore that fact, right? Game should already be considered gambling as it is because there's a percentage chance to get a mutation. It takes raw meat and hours just for a chance to see if you got the stats needed.

Funnily enough, they're actually annoyed that the Western themed DLC piano doesn't play Western music, just the ark soundtracks.

There were definitely some expectations not met for them, and the removal of content just soured it.

if so, go to 1440p and youll see a noticable change in fps. if youre in 1440p already then just go to high settings with frame gen

I found an awesome Ascendant blueprint for a crossbow in a Valguero drop and was lucky enough to crafting-skill it for a 577% damage output.

I just tested it on Moro's Tylosaurus, but I got ARKed and it killed me while I had the crossbow equipped. Upon retrieving my stuff, everything but the crossbow was there. It simply vanished. I tried pulling for it with VvS and Death Retrieval tombstone, but it simply isn't there anymore.

I'm playing in Single Player, so the insane damage % shouldn't count for the automatic deletion of it like on official, right?

Simple and unlucky ARK bug or am I missing something? The Tylo can't steal equipped items like an Ichtyornis, right?

yea, sadly they broke the robot with the last update to it like a year ago or so, now it ignores inventory filtered resources. and it cannot do fert if there are also crops to pickup. so thats the only annoying part that you gotta manually switch aruond with fert and crops

that too, no more multiple stacks. But did you notice that it doesnt do / go by inventory filtered resources? it literally picks up everything it can access and deposit anywhere, no matter what resources you put in the filter/task him with.
i played around with them ALOT and they essentially always break when doign fert+any crop just starting to stand still. Only when i stop giving pickup permissions from the fert storage, they suddenly spring back to life

then i tested it by setting different filters, no filters, etc. And it seemed ot COMPLETELY disobey ANY filter. it didnt make any difference what the filters where set to, it would just access all possible containers anyways :/ i literally got 3 of those bots crafted sitting in storage since i kinda gave up on it xD

you should see my gacha place, i built seperate walkways / tunnels so that other robots cant walk there from their area lol

literally caged them in to stop them from leaving and others to go there since filters didnt work^^

-stored the robots in a storage container for a week and re did the filters
-replaced friges for crops, and another vault for fert

Hi, my ASA folder is 190 GB and every update is taking for ever, it is as though the entire game is being recopied. Updates are showing a disk usage of 150-300 MB/s and it is still taking up to 30 minutes. Am I the only one seeing this? Because I can't imagine that there is 5-6 GB in updates every other day requiring a complete recopy. This is hammering my NVMe drive.

steam uses delta patching. it does a diff of the entire submitted package and does not even store unchanged data. the developer cant turn off or control this in any way

steam's patcher can clearly handle indexes of data changing, otherwise the whole archive would need to be redownloaded every patch anyway, so it is already way more advanced than a simple binary diff 🙄

na, u gotta build 4 crop plots high (evne if they arent fertilized) so he cant spin ON TOP of them (cant walk on them anymore), and then observe the usual spots where it spins too (like around the fridges etc) and place half/quarter walls there that will stop the spinning 😉

i think part of the problem is the navmesh is dynamically generated around players, and the radius changes based on server load

so they get randomly lobotomized if a player leaves the area

and b) Artifacts. (THANk GOODNESS EVEN MORE) i can transfer artifacts in the hundreds around in seconds, the only use i have for em anymore

yea makes sense, i did observe the most issues with this when i ran accross my island that is kinda large and then returend, suddenly they start hugging the wall.
but i can even get around that, i had literally noted places he usually gets stuck and just rebuilt the whole fucking base to make an opening there.
but them ignoring ALL filters and going totally rogue trying to reach things they arent even supposed to access drives me insane, and it breaks them eventually too (they will stop moving altogether)

OH and also having the fridges elevated will somehwo make a BIG difference, they will stop spinning almost instantly now when they hit a halfwall

this took a long time of testing to get the walls position right, since they love findin new spots to spin but eventually youll find em all xD

i only use the top crop plot usually since its plenty but have them stacked so they cant walk OVER the crop plots and get stuck spinning on top of them

now if the filters worked, id finally have a farm 😄
