I want to get a lvl1 mega raptor been taming low lvls but they keep getting the Xtra bonus levels.

I tried making a new character with no lost colony traits and no tribe tower and the it keeps getting 3 bonus level on tame and I beat the tame effectiveness to 0lvls.

you should preinstall every mod the cluster uses. but if it keeps happening, it is not due to mod installation

Best bet is probably to set up a temporary dedicated server on a pc if anyone’s pc can handle it. That’s what I did as a workaround

Basically run it like you would a dedicated but just have the rates higher and save/turn off when you’re done

Need at least one relatively strong pc for that though. My friend was on console and me on pc so it worked out

the pyro is immune to fire damage, can go on your shoulder so you take it into a cave, and then ride it again

Host is because your device (client) is the "server". They are tethered because once the render distance is exceeded all things for client are stasis/destroyed. That is a set distance your client has.
In unofficial there is a legit server to keep them un-stasis rather than ur client.

But back when the game came out I heard about some issues that even people with the recommended specs couldn't play the game properly. With a build like this, will I be able to play ASA (preferably on epic settings) or not?

Typing this here as well, so for anyone with the ''Not logged in'' & ''Player1'' issue, what you could try if you tried everything what google as suggested and none worked;

Go to Steam > Settings > Storage > click on the 3 dots > Repair Library.

This was what fixed it for me & my partner, we both play ark on different pc's, so of course share the same internet connection, and it happened at the same time this bug. Hopefully this helps anyone with this problem.

the same automatically controls the texture pool size since the engine update, it uses as much memory as your GPU has available. before that, it would go over on 8GB or less and lag horribly, and not use 12GB+

it can still be unreliable what gets loaded or not, on low memory cards

Any solutions for my 5090FE (with 9800X3D) just chilling at 90% utilization, about 50% of its max power draw and shit FPS at 3440x1440p?

Whatever settings I try the utilization stays shit and the fps too. There is no frame limiter in place.

Other games utilize the gpu fine. Even other UE5 games.

Is ark really that poorly optimized? It seemed to run better on my 4090..

Why can't ARK just utilize the GPU properly like other UE5 engine games.

Also switching quality settings for the graphics doesn't really change the FPS. It really shows the game is stumbling over itself in the render pipelines.

After all this time its still so bad? The big promised E5.5 upgrade just seems to have made it all worse.

With big templates it's not always, but it's frequent if there is a lot of stuff around. Forget trying to place a template over something existing. Templates also randomly disappear, stop being able to be built because the list of items becomes "unknowns" (fixed for a few minutes by relogging), and can be invisible preventing you from building in the same spot.

Doing a 1900 item template I had to relog close to 10 times to fix the list going wonky, then it just disappeared after 900 items, but the server and tool think it still exists.
