I mean, they are SUPER powerful and you can build an entire mobile base on them.

But, you have to use canons to knock them out. Once down, you put the platform saddle on them and they are instantly tamed

I love building huge landships on their backs. Complete with turrets and such. Just park them over a tame while taming and turn the turrets on.

Once you have a titano, its basically an "I Win" button for anything on the map.

that box will not get it to eat on its own, nor will it level. You will have to force feed it.

It will eat on its own right after you get it, but the next time you start the game it will require force feeding. And you will be permanently stuck with the level up flashing at you with no ability to give it levels.

Titanos were one of my favorite dinos until the Dreadnaughtus came out. Not quite as big, but no mod needed to have it permanently. Also, titanos have some specific glitches which are just not worth it to me.

Guys. If you're thinking of running your own server but it seems daunting; just do it. I figured it out and got it 100% operational this morning

I started last night, put about 3 hours into it then another 2 hours to copy from nitrado what I had and regain my tribe and tames.

It's worth it.

For one, with titanos, sometimes when you get to where they should be out of redner distance, they blink in and out along with everything on their back severly lagging you. Sometimes when you come back from render distance they glitch out and have all their structures in a ball underneath them. And other times you come back to render distance and all the saddles on all your dinos are missing until you relog.

So yeah, dreadnaughtus better.

@bitter mauve reportedly that commannd no longer works at all, due to the changes in texture streaming behavior. now the game just decides how much to load by itself based on available memory. 8GB and lower GPUs will never be able to fully load everything on some maps, though. lower texture quality settings can help by reducing the overall detail and memory use of textures

the map is just a common victim because it does not load until you open it, and if you ran out of memory already, it cant load

Idk really I could show my base and could take some advice im new to understanding the placements and tricks

it is really complicated, and i dont play official pvp, so i cant give more than a generalization, but you typically want to keep your exposed base footprint or angles of approach as low as possible, and have as many turrets as possible covering all possible approaches

there are all sorts of techniques for how to place turrets for maximum field of view, and build stuff to resist attacks, but most of it comes down to your ammo supply vs other people's patience

mixing heavy and tek turrets also is or was a thing. tek cant shoot down incoming explosives or runners very well

you can find extensive videos online of different building techniques

last i saw, people used hatchframes sticking out of walls/towers and put turrets on the edges, gives them almost unblocked line of fire

look for "turret tower" or "turret wall" designs, i guess

You then pile tek/heavy turrets on a steel lattice in the kill zone. We would typically place some Velos behind the steel lattice and low things front to encumber frontal approach. The game then becomes one of soaking, whereby the enemy will use tanky Dinos to deplete the ammo stores. They usually do this while you’re off line, because a determined defender in a cave is tough to beat.

i recommend watching popular pvp youtubers to see how their tribes/enemies build.(XAVVI, Exfibo, and more) generally the building is alot different to ASE due to turrets being able to get placed on walls, and roofs, so full designs arent really a thing depending on where youre built. generally turrets on walls/roofs are the play as they can be really annoying, and will shoot off any riders (Stego pushes/ runners) ONLY TEK can shoot off riders though so be aware of that.

also what that other guy was saying. use photo mode and see where any weak points are, and where you can place more turrets.

as for dinos, anything that inflicts bleed is going to the best for dealing with soakers, otherwise krabs can throw them away. ur pvp dinos will depends on which map youre on too

I'm on PC. It's not a RAM issue, I have oodles of RAM. Always crashes with the error "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION". From what I've been able to find online, it means the game is trying to point to or access something that does not exist. And since it only happens on Rag, I don't think it's a mod issue.

Basically tdy I learned that mammoths are in the game and are good at getting wood from a dossier by Helena I found in the cave that I raged quit on last playthrough so I crafted a raft for the first time and some wool armor to go up north with my sabertooth so now I’m sailing the seas

fortitude allows you to resist torpor damage better and increases your resistance to temps. it can be useful but it's easy to not need as much with good gear

You can roll back to preaquatica on steam (that's what it's called) and all your mods should be fine :)

If you go to the game on the steam library, click the gear icon, go to properties, and go to betas, you should see "preaquatica". Click that and mods will be good.

A lot of big modders are not going back to ASE and fixing their mods unfortunately. So that will be your best bet for mods from here on out.

wondering to if the team at wildcard took into account we cant increase player movement speed in ASA as that part of the puzzle cae on rag seems super super tight to make it through now, my mate has literally perfect runs and either just gets through or more times then not with the lag misses the open door by a second or so

LOL why do you think they added the gene scanner, they knew this was an issue when ASA Island was released and didn't want to fix it, so they made you pay extra to be able to find stuff from more than 10 m away

Hold down the R Key while its Equiped, Select the Feet Icon and type in the Dino type you are looking for, when its green its in front of you, keep going til you find it
