I can get in and play just fine, if I don't mind having trees and rocks pop up in my base (all through) that I can walk through, but not destroy. This is ridiculous. This was not even a thing until this update and I looked forward to it. We all paid good money to play the game and as such, should get at least some things to work as intended and not have bizarre issues happen. The crashing is most annoying . I am trying so very hard to be nice, but it is testing my limits as all I want (and every other player) is to play a game that while it might have bugs, don't have weird things happening.

That's the best explanation I've red so far. 1. sprinting on dinos randomly stops working and kicks back in, also randomly. 2. rocks and trees are back on reconnecting, but non solid. 3. I had the whole maps water disappeared, twice. My ride just went invisible. When it went visible I figured I was invisible. When I was visible again, my shoulder pet was invisible. What else should this be summed up with, but "the game is an idiot". Or stoned...I don't know. It's a freaking mess.

I'm actually one of the lucky few that doesn't crash. At least not as of yet, knocks on wood. But 5.5 turned this into a glitchfest of ascended scope. The water just turning invisible and having fish swim in mid air was actually quite lulz. I mean, what does one expect? It's a damn flat earth.

The only servers I've ever found good with mods are ones more passive in what they do such as just adding visual only variants in wild tames, base structures, etc.

Mods like the chaos creatures, that RPG one, etc I personally don't like as it adds a 50 step process to the game like someone trying to learn dungeons and dragons for the first time 😂

I'm pretty sure the game works fine for the vast majority of people. It works great for me. If it was completely broken, it would be a lot busier in here.

The occasional FPS drop to 10 and then back up to normal is the only issue i've had on the two modded server clusters i play on.

The framdrop with stuttering is a knows issue even before 5.5. Many had that problem before, so did i but back then it happend 1-2 Times a day and I did not even see it as a problem, but now its all The time. Seems like they never fixed that issue prepatch but now they have to, huge number of people have The problem and even on console.

I only have the frame drop problem when around water at night. And it goes away once i leave that area.

doesn't sound like the same issue then. I get ~20min of play before my fps goes from 60-80 to 5-10 & stays that way until I restart the game. Sometimes changing a setting like fullscreen/borderless, or fps limit fixes it temporarily, but often the only "fix" is restarting the game

What's going on? I just ran into Swamp Cave wanting to level up on the high level critters in there. But when I went in, the only creatures that were inside were 3 low level Megalanias. Why?

Framdrops on ark has always been a thing, and its not a problem, The problem is when it gets stuck at low fps studdering and it feels like motion sickness eats your brain until you restart 😅
