think I figured out the work around for the maps issue... under the game DLC tab in steam uncheck the DLC if its listed there. Restart Steam, lauch the game without the map dlc installed. Start a new single player session and you'll be prompted to install the map again, do so from within the game. Exit out... launch ASA again and the map will redownload and work

Since I updated, my fps has been shot and even at the lowest graphics quality, it is still lower than before the update. When launching Ark after the update, I get a pop up that says this:

"The installed version of the AMD graphics driver has known issues in D3D12.
Please install the recommended driver version or switch to a different rendering API."

With some more. Someone please advise on if my fps drop is directly caused by this or if there is something else I can do about it.

On steam in your library when you click on ASA, you have a section on the main page that is called "DLC" at the right side of the page, you can then "manage my X DLC(s)" and uncheck those that you don't want. I believe that it will uninstall those that are unchecked

The backup system on SP is also borderline useless since it doesn't fix the problem that transfer data is not map tied, causing the issue that when you download stuff and your game crashes before the world saves, your character, dinos, etc. is just gone since transfer data itself has no backup :)

If you play on SP you still have to make manual backups of your entire saved folder to avoid this

well i guess you can try both but like Laserak said, for frame gen (an option a bit at the bottom) it will be FSR frame gen.
If you use the commande "stat fps" you will see that FSR is ON, (and should be ON also when using Unreal setting).
Anyway just check for the one that looks best to you i guess.
Also i noticed that when displaying fps, you can do it via steam or via the in game command and it does not show the same amount, i believe that fps via stat fps are lower than fps via steam, maybe because it's the "raw" one not boosted by frame gen.

I’m not on at the moment but if you go to manage add ons, click Ark, and it should show all the maps installed. From there you should be able to pick and choose which ones you want or don’t want
