For pillar you need a good team to defend and mostly everything is raidable. You want to build a cage with a top tower on it. People can drop stegos so you would place down large dino traps, id say tho in the end might be worth just getting a small tp area for mining. Pillar always seems to fall, specially if nobody has dinos to counter the raid

People can pretty much find bases pretty fast because they can use certain console commands, so most of the time your best bet is having a vault underwater, I've seen lots of other really pro people who get good gear and put it underwater till they find a tribe, but if you wanna start a tribe that could take a year to get just one pearl cave

While you can gameshare with gamepass the cloud feature is ultimate only and pretty much only aloud on the main account with said gamepass so basically he will need to get ultimate himself to use the cloud feature (thats what I believe as ive tried it with a friend who then bought ultimate himself)

Since yesterday my every attempt to log on has resulted in an instant crash. Attempts to lower graphics/get rid of extra visual stuff to try to stop the loading from crashing instantly all failed so I can’t play until whatever bug is causing it is fixed

Most mods don’t really work well with extinction since the dev kit wasn’t fully updated to my knowledge. Certain things will cause the map to kinda break like trying to use an awesome spy glass. A friend tried that on PS5 and it auto crashed and he had to remove all his mods just to play on extinction

Edit: Here in a bit tho the dev kit should be fully updated and it should be perfectly fine to play

It’s either the dev kit not being fully updated and older mods aren’t compatible for extinction currently or when a mod gets updated for extinction fully the map kinda breaks and it now it gets corrupted. It’s likely the map got screwed up. Either way I would advice to never use mods on a new map on day one. Stuff like that may happen and you’ll lose your character and tames

It takes a good while for a giga or carcha to spawn, if they don’t just kill stuff on the mountains/wastes of extinction to get one to spawn

Not too sure but it usually takes a good few depending on where they likely spawn. Most of the gigas and carchas I see on the island are either at the mountain closest to carno island or inside the volcano near tek cave. Haven’t played extinction since I got no tips there but back on ase they were rather plentiful there
