when Star Citizen (of all things) hits their release cadence more reliably than you, ya messed up somewhere and you should really reconsider your processes and how you communicate with players about releases. Next time, instead of saying "map is releasing on [date]" and then pushing the console certification button on [date], say "map is releasing on [date]" and press the console certification button on [date - 2 days]. It's pretty basic planning. Either hit your release date, or don't provide one. SC doesn't publish release date expectations after their predictions proved to be all totally wrong, and they're more loved by their community for it

if you think the way wildcard communicates is "keeping us updated" i'd suggest taking a look at Star Citizen for an example of what good (not excellent-- they still stumble, like anyone else legally considered a person in the United States) community communication looks like. Your mind will be blown. And they don't even publish firm release dates, haven't for years. They make Wildcard's communications look like a father who left for cigarettes 30 years ago but "will be back soon".

I really think the problem boils down to a company not quite used to how the console certification process can work and be delayed. Since they're trying to do crossplatform launches, anything that delays the cert process (which they have no control over) delays the entire release. I have a feeling the 3 day delay was to finalize some things, and hope the certs would go smooth, but they rarely ever do, and with the cert process, they can't make changes after submitting for cert or it will just delay things more.
It happens, take some deep breaths, move on, and know that the map is coming, it's just taking a bit longer than planned

Consoles are the reason the game was diluted into a 30 FPS piece of garbage and servers run like shit. it has to cater to the lowest denominator, which is console hardware. This is obviously not the fault of the console players, but throwing us all into the same group on a cross platform means we can only perform at the highest a console can, which is awful.
