I think the way this works if you remove the mods you will lose those modded ones you tamed/bred. I don't know if any of them include a way to convert it to the vanilla version yet.

If you think Ark is headed towards p2w literally go look at any other game. Imagine, buying space ships in a space ship game!
One of the biggest points here is that you are never forced to compete with people. You're forcing that on yourself. If you feel that it gives an advantage in PvP that you do not agree with then I would probably recommend playing PvE. It's very popular.
Back in ASE when SE came out, people were saying all this same stuff. And yes it is all a little different, but everyone should be accustomed to paying for content at this point. I don't mind if they throw in a few dinos for us, and it not being gated behind a big $30 DLC that I otherwise don't care about is great.

Yup actually the best thing about Bobs Tall Tales is that is supported many new features being added to the dev kit and base game, that modders can use now. So like, even the people who didn't buy it are benefitting from it. It supported a lot of development. But I didn't buy it because, I just don't care about that content lol.
The extra dinos are cool and give me a way to support development where maybe that money would be going to premium mods (to support those devs) or something instead, I am cool with all of it. I just can't feel any kind of way about them asking for money for content, that is just how things work. Lol

talk to people and ask. many will be willing to take someone who needs engrams. Many trading discords will trade a transmitter for Metal ingots only, so you wouldnt need to farm element, boss fights, or other such things to get a transmitter.

i have not used mine much, but yes they can go on land. They flop around. You can use them to attack land dinos or you can use it to pass obstacles. They will take hp damage if on land for too long

there is an issue with transfering if you do not go directly from server to server. If you upload in the cloud and then try to download, it treats the custom skins as unsupported items, from what ive noticed. You need to return to island and join center when its not full and directly join. If you attempt to transfer and the server is full, it will kick you to main menu, then when you try to enter center again, you are downloading from the cloud which is when the 3unsupported bug issue happens

We had this issue with SE as well, and it was really, really annoying. I dont have a solution. We just stopped trying to login for a bit and tried again later.

Here are a few thoughts on the €5 Pyromaniac topic and The Center in general:

Taming the Pyro is super quick, within 20-30 minutes after server start, the first players will have it sitting on their shoulders.

The Pyro automatically sets your opponent on fire, even for example when they grab you with an Argentavis or Pteranodon. Grabbing an opponent means you will burn.

Removing the flamethrower function would be reasonable. For PvE, I find the Pyro okay.

The cave nerfs happened randomly. North Ice Cave is still one of the best spots in the game, while spots that were somewhat balanced for PvP (e.g., crouch bear cave) have been nerfed to the ground. Why?

ASA cost €40. The two season passes each cost €30. Each mod map gets a €5 tame. In total, you will end up paying well over €100 for all the content. Of course, you don’t have to, but if all upcoming "fantastic tames" will be at the level of the Pyromaniac... well.

Even with a 40-series graphics card and frame generation, you barely get 60 FPS in some places. I'm a bit worried about Aberration; the performance is nonsense. There are numerous and HUGE mesh holes on The Center, I think the game needs to function and run smoothly for such monetization models to be at least somewhat fair.

Maybe I’ll give The Center a chance and try out PvP.

The big issue with things like that is that a lot of those kinds of bugs should actually be reported privately, to reduce the scope of any potential damage. So if you have a collaborative channel that discusses that stuff, what actually happens is people that want to exploit those things also watch.
There's definitely cases where discussing and collaborating is good but so long as we are talking about bugs and exploits I think the preference is to keep it all as low-key as possible, so it can get patched before it is exploited.

The mate boost will definitely help, as will imprint; torpor is also something you need to worry about, since that’s a big threat with manticore

I ran 9khp on them and like 900melee so basically if u can do like 10-12k hp and everything into melee, make sure if ur bringing in more wyvs w u to turn on special attack ai so they breathe their lightning

Never take only one wyv because u won’t have time to kill to the boss, so make sure u take multiple wyvs w u

This started many updates ago but is super annoying and wanting to see if there is a fix. I host a 3 map clustered community and at random it could be an hour, 45 minutes, 2 hours, 3 hours, we all experience a random game crash and on playstation it says the player profile was corrupted and then ask to delete it and either reuse a console profile previously saved or one from cloud. I've tried both to no avail it still happens on all maps. The server doesn't crash itself, its just our local instance of the game.

what you need to do is go to the obelisk or transmitter, and just before transmitting, drop all your cosmetics, put the three "blank" cosmetics into the obelisk/transmitter, then upload

you have to put in the three custom cosmetics into the obelisk/transmitter, just before you click upload. it's not going to refresh until you click "Spawn Survivor"

scorched earth i did manage to get in with my main character when the players number reduced, but i haved a lot of struggle and im forced to leave my main character their until they open the transfers and have to depend second character to reset the island timers

its like i said i was planning buy new pc anyway, it was good when i played AsE but AsA is bit to much but i can still play the ark "fine" when im IN the server, I already done the bosses both island and Scorch, breeding, getting wyvern eggs taming rhynios just fine, the only issue i have is getting in server and when i defeat the bosses and leave the arena i have a crash and i am obligate to have bed locations that dont have to many stuff around like scorch earth dunes that garantees me to get in on first or second try
