Cryo fridges are cheap anyway and it is a 3 minute fix and you forget its a feature (regarding the range limitations) it just comes into play out in the world. its worth noting that they said in the notes they will NOT do the soft cap change depending on how the cryo changes help server caps. So cryo your dinos if you can, keep your cap low. dont force the change.

your issue is that you think the colour is linked to the stat. When you get a mutation you get two things. a new colour in one region and an improved stat in one stat type. When that dino breeds the game goes through every color region one by one and has a chance of being the fathers or the mothers as well as going through every stat type one by one rolling for whether its the father or mothers stat one by one. You got a new mutation your dodo has a blue head and better melee. You breed it multiple times and you get a dodo without the blue but with the melee. You get one which has both and you get one without either. You get a colour and stat from the same incident but they arnt tied to each other

It turns out that Resolution Scale setting is UPSCALING. So if you run it at 0 it is 0 upscale...

I thought it was for downsampling.

So if you can run it less the Nvidia DSLL non-sense...turn scaling to 0, it will increase performance well over 60FPS

Yes, but it is upscaling. I guess one would assume with DSLL one is upscaling, but most cards outside of 4XXX aren't going to upscale very well. I am curious though, since the settings are somewhat different from Nvidia settings, if it is using XeSS or FSR for non-Nvidia cards.

If you are running it at 1080p and you move the slider to 10%, it is upscaling 1080 by 10%

Likewise, if you run the game at 2k or 4k and you move the slider to 0, you are doing no upscaling, and the game is running at native.

Test it for yourself, pal. You'll see that your FPS goes up as you lower the slider. It's not because it is downsampling, it is because it is no longer upscaling.

DLSS is a super sampling technology. It is Super (UP) scaling the image via AI and then downsampling it back to native resolution which effects more data being put on the screen.

That being said, if the slider still allows for super sampling on non-Nvidia cards, it is using non-DLSS, which only Nvidia supports, and must be using some other SS technology such as FRS or XeSS.

Virtual Shadows essentially is Nanite for shadows.

This does decrease performance slightly - moderately depending on your GPU.

But it fixes lag spikes having to due with shadow recalculations.
