Especially when PlayStation having the worst luck with mods at the moment to. They have to make this NOT effect single player. As a content creator who did every single map on ASE with how unstable that was. Cyro pods were the go to after fjor gave us a crash that killed me (and my friends on none ded) we lost EVERYTHING and it was due to carting a velno half way across the map over and over again. When the use of cyro pods would of been only one trip and less risk of that said crash

this morning on my single player world I logged in to witness both my Moschops and my Argent have sunken underneath the world under the cliff face I was building on, I ended up having to use ghost just to get my bird out of this mess, now idk if anyone else has had this mess but it’s absolutely disgusting how broken this game is and filled with bugs in every single bit of detail you look at of this game, bugs after bugs, you can’t even joke about this anymore it’s just hurendous

I definitely don't think it's worth the refund. You'd be tripping if you experienced the Steam launch Day 1-5 lmao. That was a terrible experience for Official players like myself. We'd play for an hour and then the server would crash and go down for 16 hours at a time, happened like 2 times that long lol. Also had a Official wipe on Day 1 as well.

There's a flat land area on a hill with some ruins but it's flat, fairly large and you can expand down the hills once you clear trees and you could have a really interesting base spot for PVE

No not off the top of my head no. But doesn't make it any less true there were some of course, many bugs in ASE before it ended I'm not saying it was a bug-less game version. What I'm saying is they are and have been constantly bug patching for years and years and the bugs in ASA, 95% of them were not a thing in ASE when it finished and therefore if they did exist at one stage in it's lifespan, it was patched out.

I don't keep a mental note of bug patches unless it's heavily related to PVP because I'm a PVP player.

And I do know many people who would flip their 💩 over any little thing and make it a massive problem so maybe it is a mixture of that tbh.

The biggest issues with ASA and that plagued ASE was duping and meshing. Fix those and the game would be 85% perfect IMO. Naturally it's not gonna be just the case of "Fixed!" it's gonna be a long process and maybe won't be fully fixed like ASE was never completely fixed, damage was already done but as far as Ark goes and all the bugs it's ever had they are very good at eventually patching them

I do not think any bugs in ASA atm are bad enough for anyone to lose their mind over, refund or even uninstall. Also have to look at it like, this is a Early Access version. You are a glorified play tester to fix the problems for the game. You just kind ahave to see it that way

Cryos broke and changed the PVP meta forever on ASE. I think a lot of people were super hyped not to have seen them on ASA launch. When they announced they'd return so early it was a massive disappointment. At least until they released the PTB notes that have them nerfed and all the changes a lot of people asked for regarding PVP with them actually was listened to

On singleplayer/unofficial servers you guys can use mods to bring back the old pods. As for Official PVE, I guess I see issues with that but ultimately it does still help you guys out and just is a mixture of both worlds. not having them, and having them. PVP this is nothing but a great change.

With PVE on Ark, what is it that you do? Build a satisfying base? You do that on PVP. Can have a PVE base for giggles on PVP too. You tame on PVE? Just a way of life, that is what Ark's about so you do that on PVP. Breeding? That's a must on PVP. Everything you play PVE for, you get with PVP but more. It's just a dedication and if you are PVP inclined or not I guess. Ark ultimately tho is designed as a PVP game.

Alpha Brood you only need 3 Megs and a Yuty, with the Monkey we use rexes tbf but you can use that method too and you can knock the monkey off the side and insatntly kill it for the element. Dragon we use Shootys and 2 rexes

Alpha Overseer we brought 2 quetz and had everyone on chairs on the platform as one guy whistle go here'd down the cave to the teleporter then we shotguned the Overseer dead lmao. Anyone familiar with server hardware or have experience with running Ark SE servers? I am currently running 3-5 clustered servers on a 5600G 6 core. I am downgrading the server to a 3000G 2 core (lol) as I have noticed the server doesn’t seem to be overly CPU dependent, but more RAM dependent. Does anyone know what the reduced number of concurrent threads will have on the server? As it is, with 5 people logged, the 5600G never exceeds 4% utilization.

So ark was running just fine before this. After quite literally playing this game in the morning hours later I get this message. Because It said ran out of memory I tried playing on the other launch settings like No sky, Low Memory but they dont work. I tried changing the paging file still didnt work. I've verified the files multiple times, i've reinstalled the game multiple times no luck. I even bought a new ram stick but somehow still ran out of memory. On task manager it jumps from like 39% to 98% in an instant and I get the error. This isn't even on just one map All of them do this. I even did this trick where you delete the problem files and verify them later no luck. I really hope someone has an answer to this problem. Cause I love this game.

I have dedicated 1000s of hours into PVP as well as yourself. I could hit shots with them being 250% speed or not. I could beat many characters zooming across the screen. But it was stupid as a game mechanic to be able to be that speed.
It just switches up the balancing for ASA. If it's a deal break for you that's fine you'll either eventually learn to accept it after ASE dies or you'll move onto another game nothing is lost.

Good players learn and adapt and overcome. Egotistical subpar ones complain and quit. Life goes on the game grows

Honestly just consider this, if movement speed is the only reason you are able to survive able to survive a PVP situation... then maybe you were relying on it a little too much and you were'nt as good as you thought you were?

With the cryo changes, I think the only change that might be a little harsh is forcing the cryos to not be placed unless in range of your own fridge. That brings complications big time with PVE and then it also creates issues on PVP in a small way. The biggets take away that should not be changes is not being able to throw them out near enemy stuff/players on PVP servers.

If they keep that change, that will be ideal for PVP the Cryo fridge requirement isn't necessary but I would accept it. People hate it because they became so desperately in need of cryos for years

So reliant for them, desperately in need of that style PVP and that convivence. I think either a lot of people forgot what it wa slike before Extinction or maybe they aren't an OG and came in on or after Extinction in which case it's all they've ever known. Which makes sense why people are so desperate for little to no changes with them.

Ultimately the main PVP related thing I care about regarding pods, is being able to throw stegos past crouches and or tight cave bases they otherwise would never be able to get a stego in without the pod. Like Island ice for example on ASA. Island Ice with Old pods on ASA is a terrible cave and is gonna get rolled. With these nerfed Pods, it makes it still very viable of a base location which is important.

Only way you are raiding Island Ice on ASA atm is terror Birds and or a lot of ground boys rushing the wall and it will be a hard raid online. Near impossible defended right. But not crazy dumb like Old Island ice. it'll become a terrible cave when new dinos come out over the next 2 years but it will be good for now which is important.

Sorry for interjecting and the long message. I am playing on the center, have a theri, 2 carnos, 2 raptors, and 2 pteranodons, and other less important Dinos. I’m level 81 and am not sure on what my next direction should be. I am not a beginner but not experienced with ark, I’ve played it on and off but never got this far.
