It was just a fantastic piece of flat land, near a water source just down the hill, a nice ridge along one side that created a natural wall

they did alittle bit of terraformation and added a lot of ambient stuff, location is really just same and you pretty much can navigate from that water source, as rivers are definitelly same

you might just find a lot of new trees and rocks around, but place itself is same, unless there is new "ruin" built in. some places have kinda huge ruins there

36/50 between moutains, near to snow biome, close to metal depositories, redwood also kinda close, water is kinda harsh, but you can lead it from redwood. one of best spots with decently flat terrain

there is cave behind the corner for decent ammout of chitin as well and only real downside its in the middle of map and without mods you will have hard time leading all your dinos to boss platforms, but you always can set up minibase next to any obelisk and make hatching pen there

and obviously, with no water nearby, you as well need "water base" for underwater caves dinos and essentially obtaining materials such as black pearls which can be only obrained in ocean.. but thats kinda late game and not everyone is rushing towards tek gear

there is decent ammout of alpha raptors/carnos, also therizinos can wander there occasionly. And its kinda close to giga/carcha spawn as they do spawn on moutains. so overall its kinda dangerous place to live, I suggest starting building with stone

I've tested this. Rhynio can enter the tek cave. They can't enter the boss section. The rhynio you take will inevitably die since it gets trapped in the tek cave on technicality.

So if you had a throwaway rhynio and the means to solo the overseer, you get a straight shot to the boss at the very end with no Interruptions from point A to point B. If we had cryos, you could probably fly in and toss all your dino out at the very end, if pods work inside the cave. You'd still lose a rhynio, but the means are there.

No, it's time that's based on food, which is why food drain impacts taming speed so dramatically. Higher taming multipler == less overall food needed, higher food drain == more frequent feeding intervals. Very easy to play with in a calc like Dododex's

You can't change individual spawn ratios from one Dino species to another.. beavers do seem more rare. I would go check Beaver lake every now and then, if you see a beaver, make sure you kill it or tame it, when they respawn, there's a chance for them to spawn a Beaver dam with them.

There is no TEK in the game at the moment without mods... it wasn't introduced until later in the series of DLC/Expansions

TBH.. Max difficulty is supposed to set the dino level to 150 max.. on PC it doesn't seem to work and we've always had to use an override in the configuration file.. I really don't know much about consoles, maybe it works correctly on there.. you do need to wipe the dinos after you make a change so they spawn in with the new settings..

My server is probably the worst. It’s official pve and the server is full almost all the time. It’s not till after midnight it gets to around 50 people on. There’s 100k pillars everywhere. And every single beaver dam spawn location is destroyed because people built next them. I joined the server day 1 of Xbox release and it was a brand new server that day and I have only raided 4 beaver dams the entire time since it’s been out. It really annoys me.

Hi everyone, have an ASA trouble shooting question :).

I’m playing singleplayer on PS5 and am getting established and started breeding.

I have bred and imprinted pteranodons and everything is functioning as normal. I then bred and imprinted trikes. I completed all the prompts for the imprint to take place. However, the trikes only received the 20% stat boost. They do not receive the ridden damage and defense buffs unlike the pteranadons.

Any ideas what may be happening here? For more context, the trikes do not have an imprint bar on their stat sheet while the pteranadons do.
