im starting to think the Island in ASA is earlier in the timeline than ASE. there are places like in south 2 over looking that beaver spawn next to teh swamp. in ASA there is a hill or soemthing on the edge of the cliff but in ASE its gone and there are rocks directly below that in the water

Yes it does have to patch (update) bits of code throughout the entire installation volume, so it looks at the entire installation, but the amount of patched changed code isn't the full amount of the installed volume.. it's going to apply the changes where it needs to, but that doesn't mean it's downloading that much data every time

You don't need a save world command anymore in single player. Hit escape and right on the menu you click on save game..

If I were you, I would navigate to where the save game world lives, and verify when you click save game, that the file actually updates the date time and size. You should be doing backups of that file anyway periodically IMO.

Dinos still get stuck behind small stones, but now they even walk around open behemoth gates when they got a staight line towards it with no obstacle inside. Or they follow me inside a dino house/shelter, but when I walk outside it through a gate, they instead turn around and walk against the back wall, trying to find a way out that way.
