check your tribe files for any tribefile that is too big, then replace it for it's backup. Also backup your server files frequently

Yeah, Steam was originally December for cross play, but I'd still just go off of them saying they would have some stuff to finalize after all platforms are out and able to cross play in order to get started on cross progression.

I wouldn't expect it any sooner than late December and would realistically see it into 2024 personally.

you kill a male for pheromone, then find a female, get it to below 10% health, use the pheremone on a good creature, like a rex.. let bug sleep with your rex. done. you dont need to trap it.. unless you have multiple pheromones for multiple creatures.

and i mostly crash while in the inventory of something, like smithy or fab.

The Fix for Steam Installing stuck at 2% is to wait 15-30 min.

This is due to how Steam is dealing with updates and how ASA is built. This was also affecting Path of Exile before.
Basically, Steam starts counting and forgets to update the counter.
Steam does like open your folder, check your file, check what to change in that one file, then close the folder and repeats.
Then it finishes and updates from 2% to 100%.
If you uninstall and reinstall, Steam is not looking at what changed, but will straight use the new files. If you download 80 GB in less than 20 min, that's also a good solution.

It is probably a bug... the setting exists, it is just not working right now (as many other settings are also not working).
No one is forcing you to rent a server, you can host a dedicated server and join the game on the lan tab, this way you won't have the tether distance and your friends can join your game.

2070 isn’t far off from 3070, so should be decent, but as far as DSLL the Tensor cores in the Turing arn’t nearly as good as the ones in Ada Lovelace. I feel like frame rendering is making a big difference as well. I’ve tried it on a 6700k and it only utilized about 40%CPU, so I don’t think the 9700K is gonna have trouble in that regard.

Im playing singleplayer. The amount is... very small. And if you got them all, respawn takes a while. Atleast it took for me in SP. I find them in the top left corner on the main map. On the cliffs. Dont go down where the water is and the crystals. Sometimes they just get eaten by Carnos and Yutys. But the most where in the top left corner. Then go along the cliffs east. You can go south too, but only found them once there

I believe you can add the launch parameters in steam. Right click on the game in the game list on the left, go to properties. Scroll down to Launch options and type the commands there. But you will have to see how to put those commands in there either from Steam or Ark. I think they are separated by a coma.

@heavy cedar This happens in all caves but when I go in the cave of the strong and I use my crossbow to shoot a grapple to the top of the cave. It lets me do it. I can reel it up. When I hit C to disconnect it never reloads. The visual is that it reloads but it still says 0/28. then when I switch to another thing on my hotbar and back to the crossbow it finally reloads and goes to 1/28 and I can finally shoot again. this does not just happen with crossbow or the cave of the strong. It happens with pump shotgun in cave of the immune.

Ah, Kaprosuchus, typical Swamp Dweller.

They aren't fun to encounter, but they make okay tames.

The Bog is listed as Easy, it may seem hard, but a frost biome in an eternal blizzard, a tropical region populated with tiny islands and a VERY aggressive population of sea life. (Ocean is a nice base spot later on though thanks to the Ocean Platforms added in Genesis Part 1)
A volcanic region where literally everything wants to kill you, including the volcano when it erupts.
And finally, a Lunar biome that hits you with the full power of the sun if you get into the sunlight.

Luckily, HL-NA allows you to teleport between these biomes (each biome is a self contained ecosystem, you can't walk from one to the other) and you can even bring tames along with you when you warp.

And no, it's not nearly as big as the Broodmother Lysrix, it's just one of the Genesis Simulation's unique fauna.

Honestly, all of the Genesis Part 1 tames are really decent (except the Astrocetus, it's too difficult to tame to be worth it at the stage of the game it's unlocked at, it honestly is better in Genesis 2 (and yes, they spawn there too)

I think there's now 4 Tames that require you to forfeit a tame to them (technically, the Bloodstalker just wants blood not an actual tame)

The Troodon needs to kill your tames, the Rhyniognatha needs to impregnate one of your tames, of which are killed when the baby hatches, and the Noglin needs to take over a tame and kill other tames with that tame.

anti cheat never works on any game, it's completely pointless. It doesn't stop the cheating but it does create issues and crashes for normal people.

Anyone knows how i can change how much Ram my server uses to start , I use Ark Server Manager please help can not find it. Because i see in my Task manager uses only 1.5 gb max? the server runs for 1000+ seconds thats 17min+
