I am not aware of a way to increase it, but since many old ark issues are back, beware that rafts or dinos with platforms on (racers, quetzals, etc) might be getting you to tame limit and preventing you from claiming babies and taming dinos. Get rid of the platforms or the rafts to bypass it…each is worth an absurd amount, like 25

Yes, there is a lot of things to optimize that they are not prioritizing right now because server stability is more important.
It was the same with ASE, it barely run on low settings on my 750ti at the early access launch, but now I can play on high with 30 FPS or at medium with 45 fps+.

nah, we can't blame UE on this. There are plenty of UE5 games that can run on lower hardware. Wildcard went overboard with the new features and did not do asset optimization. Most creatures don't even have a LOD fallback because WC relied on Nanite.

I meant it is not the engine's fault, it is the job of the developers to do the optimizing.
A lot of stuff on ASA don't even use LOD. Having nanite is not an excuse to not use LODs, which UE5 generates automatically once you set the desired target.

Microraptors did get nerfed though, as they need to actually hit your survivor on the saddle to knock you off now, not just your tame.

They did a hitbox pass and made hit reg way better, Seagulls are so easy to snipe now.
