As far as optimization, the game is optimized to every different graphics card and cpu of a pc, differently. ‘S why some lower end graphics cards and cores handle it better than top-notch ones atm

Better specs objectively will work better, doesnt mean flawless but my husband actually gets to see hair in the game whilst my MID tier pc, leaves me with bald spots due to low settings. I only had issues with vSync on RTX 3080. Single best change you can make is:
ASA folder > ShooterGame > Saved > Config > Windows > GameUserSettings.ini (Edit this in Notepad)
CTRL-F to find and change:

Geforce now might be a better option, the one with the 4080 runs ark like a dream and you can run it for years for the price of a gpu. Some people say the response time is too low but a few ms on top of a game that averages 100+ms pings isn't going to change anything.

Take a look at the geforce now website, you basically rent a machine at nvidia they link your steam account and you play through them effectively watching it like netflix that you can control, if your connection is fairly good you'll have a great experience.

It will throttle your PC for sure, and you'll be bottlenecking your 4070TI's performance. A 9700K isn't a bad CPU by any means it just can't keep up with newer cards. I have a 9900KF, and am in the same position. I was looking at upgrading to a 3080TI but even that would throttle performance with such an older CPU. You'd be getting half or less of the performance of your GPU, that is, even if your PSU and motherboard can take it.

Well. After the updates (and having to use the reset graphics for the improvements to actually apply) performance did increase for me considerably. Now even with volumetric clouds on, medium shadows and high global illumination I'm hitting 55-65fps with a RX 6700 XT.

So they definitely CAN fix fps issue i found out the graphic setting has a bug. All i need is to reset graphic settings then put it back to all low and fps becomes smooth.

They stopped doing anything about it for years in ASE, coasting by on the sales from that game; but now they’re broke, and ASA is their only hope for several years until ark 2. I don’t see any way they let cheating get so blatant this time around

tbh nitrado customer service is terrible. my old friends pick it everytime and istg there’s always issues. I ran a gportal for 2 years on and off and customer service responses were within 20 mins when we had issues
