I'm still trying to find/fix settings to get it to work, but the no vsync is a dealbreaker for me, and doesn't seem like gsync compatible.. if anyone resolves any of these issues let me know, thanks.

Already lvl 35. Its the same bloody game. :\ Single Player so far. A few new plants to gather. Other than that, its the same game with a pretty re skin. Since it has an hour timer for cooldown, you can't warn people. Its a new engine, yes. Is it a new game? not even close.

This is almost a scam. They didn't show gameplay, screens, gathering, crafting etc in the trailer because its the same game reskined. The audio is the same, the clothing is the same, the interface is the same. Oh and vanilla gameplay? lvl 35 in a few minutes. yep, its the same. They have chat cooldowns so people can't tell you this information to disuade you from a purchase.

Heres my FPS with my setup: RTX 3080ti, ryzen 5800x3d, 32gb 3800mhz ram, @1440p. Epic = anywhere from 20, to 35 fps. High = 30 - 40 fps. Medium = About 60ish fps, maybe a bit lower. Lowest settings = 70 fps. (All of this was tested with DLSS Balanced AND DLSS Quality). I didnt expect it to run greatly being first day launch, but its no excuse to be getting 20fps on an RTX 3080TI. I wont be refunding it yet, ill wait for configs / updates to roll out first, then if its still ass ill refund. (The game at max settings looks GREAT btw).

The fact that there is about 15,000 people on already means they made at a minimum of $600,000 even if that money is split many many different ways that's still an insane amount of money to make in an HOUR. They need to use that money to optimize the game I don't know how a studio partnered with Xbox is able to put a game out like this. No wonder it hasn't passed console certifications. I would have rather the game not released and they take more time to fix this up. A complete embarrassment not only for the devs but the LOYAL players who give these people money. The game looks incredible even on low graphics but even with a 4090 a $1,600 GPU you are lucky if you get 60 fps. Horrible job

No crashing
On ultra I literally get 1-2 fps (somewhat expected on my specs)
No upscaling for AMD

My expectations were already low and they should’ve been even lower I guess. The game does look beautiful even on low it looks good but still runs terribly. I can now see why it’s delayed on consoles.

Very rough day one but am hopeful for performance fixes in the meantime I refunded the game and would not recommend anyone with similar specs to buy the game yet

Ok im running a 7900x3d and a 7900xtx and on medium settings and getting about 70 fps anything above that is not playable, also the dinos seem to be dumber then ASE so idk if they have updated the dinos ai but overall game looks nice runs poorly and Dinos look good but ai is so so bad.

The Runtime error crash is a huge annoyance.
So far Im enjoying the look of the game. It looks like it fits in with this generation of games.
I do like the QOL improvments I have seen so far. Nabbing juvenile dinos is very cool, I enjoy that.
The characters dont look like goblins anymore which is dope, and the movement animations and changes are good.

Im a bit scared to try streaming this when Nitrados servers are available, because Im noticing some unfortunate frame problems, as well as the aforementioned crashing issue.

Yeah, thats often a trend that happens too often, i got ark when it first launched, and it was just as laggy as it was as i’m hearing.

I haven’t bought ASA yet, and i’m probably gonna wait till december to get it, but media will sometimes be a common reason why this has always happened, like battlefield 2042 and cyberpunk, which they eventually smoothed out, so i don’t have doubts that asa will improve, i’m just disappointed on how immature some people are (not saying that you’re immature), but UE5 is a new territory that Wildcard doesn’t fully understand.

I get no change in fps when switching settings and my fps averages around 40, going as low as 15 and as high as 63
