alpha fights are tougher than "high level" dinos you gotta make sure you have good stats not just a high level dino and have a good line with mutations into health an damage

if you're not familiar a dino with 100% imprint, gets 30% extra stat poitns per level you put the point in. And when you ride an imprinted dino, you get 30% more damage and damage reduction

at 150 you gonna need to do some serious breeding for alpha fights. gamma you will smash with some decent wild tamed dinos, beta will be a struggle but do-able alpha no without good dinos

my recommendation is if you're trying to kill all island bosses on gamma, get an opposite gender megatherium, breed it with yours. If you'r eopen to mods, get awesome spyglass to check stats. Dino storage helps with this too but we get into "cheaty" territory.

either way a way to check dino stats is highly recommended.

Then for megapithecus/dragon, my personal recommendation is theri's, but if you'd prefer rex's they should be "fine" until beta or alpha dragon. Overseer is fairly pushover if you can handle dragon, overseer should be cake.

no idea what your rates are, but we just did gamma island on a cluster we joined recently in 5 days with "medium" rates.

we had a fight one on one in the end, my megatherium with 2k hp left, broodmother with a slither of health left

dont need to find "max" you could catch a 150 theri an its got a stupid amount of food or oxygen catch multiple theri's around 150 then breed the ones with the best stats to get babies with good stats an then breed that army up when you have a pair of the babies with the good stats

whatever works for you, we ignored pig for our alpha run through recently, and the one we did on gen 2 release, and had no problems. But we also had good saddles for most of our boss dinos, at least 80+

Only thing i have heard about mutations is there is a setting so there is no cap on mutations. now for example you can go to 254 but if you go 255 you can no longer level that stat. In asa apparently you can still levl that stat after 255

I think they said they use nanite landscapes cherry picked from UE5.3. Nanite relies quite heavily on being able to stream mesh data from disk so maybe if you can upgrade the PS5 drive to something faster it might help but I wouldn't expect an external drive to perform any faster.

Ark SE is amazing, I'm at 4963 hours now. Just needs polish and bug fixes for the frustrating things, like enforcers deciding they don't understand how to cling to a wall anymore randomly 😄
