I feel like sometimes this game makes me rage so hard it makes me nauseous
Parked two argys at the shore after sighting the ultra rare, ultra small, ultra coveted otter. Find a few fish to shoot to feed it, which includes piranhas. Manage to kill the piranhas and then grab hold of a dead fish. I notice my argys flying, and what's going on? I see them fighting an alpha raptor. Having stashed my ammo on one of the argys, I pull out my pump shotgun and start carefully aiming at the alpha raptor and try to avoid shooting my argys. One of my argys falls to the raptor. I land the killing blow on the raptor. Feeding prompt for the stupid otter repeatedly appears at random for a split second each time when I try aiming at the otter while holding the fish.

All of a sudden, freaking nighttime occurs, now I can't see anything, especially being underwater where no light source allowed. I lose sight of the otter, and the fish I brought to shore now absolutely REFUSES to be dragged.

You asked so I’m going to paste what I originally said a few days ago and you never acknowledged the points of.

How can you expect literally anyone to have faith or trust wildcard when:

*you won’t fix something so minuscule and easy to fix such as making alpha downriver run even possible on controller, you clearly never had people play test your missions for the whole new mission system where you have to do all missions on a certain difficulty to do the final boss of ark on that difficulty. Such a great and innovative idea except oh wait, you never accounted for the fact that to turn on controller you have to stop going full speed rendering the mission impossible on alpha and locking thousands out of being able to do the final boss of ark on alpha, it has been TWO YEARS since gen 2 released and wildcard have not taken the 30 seconds it would take to change a ‘5:00’ to ‘5:30’ . You yourself acknowledged the issue after weeks of hounding on discord (forum posts where things are supposed to be reported did nothing), you said 3 or 4 months ago “and yes, boris, we’re aware, I’m not sure of the status on it to be completely honest - ark 2 is taking up a lot of bandwidth and ark1 issues are sorted by priority” yeah sure ‘ark 2 is taking up a lot of bandwidth’ that totally wasn’t a barefaced lie.
*every single original part of the roadmap for 1.5 has been changed at some point: we’ve had a release delay and likely getting another, it was said to be free at first then your roadmap changes it’s price 2 separate time, we’ve gone from island and scorched at launch to just island and the whole situation regarding ark 1.5 is just extremely mismanaged altogether.

Sure ark 1.5 is getting a nice shiny new engine. The developers and management team are still the same as ark 1 though, if you won’t do something so tiny and easy to fix such as changing some numbers around and nothing you guys say in your roadmaps ever sticks. How can anyone expect ark 1.5 to be any better than the giant steaming pile we have currently, especially when there’s no gameplay footage supposedly a month from release.

So after spending several hours searching with no solution in sight, I came here. I play Ark on pc/xbox crossplay from the microsoft store and anyone with it knows that looking up or down will bring you to your taskbar/window. I also have 2 monitors, so to make thing doubly worse, looking to my left is also a no-go because my mouse switches monitors (my mouse doesnt even need to be visible, just looking screws everything) Ive tried every keyword I can think of, True Fullscreen, Loose Mouse, Crossplay Pc, etc. Ive seen 3rd party screen locks that only solve the multimonitor issue, but not up or down. Any single answer I find is by people who have no clue whats happening, not a single answer by anybody who has experienced the issue, just questions. (This is partially a rant, but mainly a call for any bit of help. Changing screens or switching between fullscreen, windowed, etc doesnt help)

If you want the answer then you need to tell people the dino, every dino setting you have changed, and the taming efficiency. You dont know the exact settings, so no your question cant be answered. Each answer youve given has little info in it, you literally asked the most broad question in the entire game: "what good base dino stats after tamed?"

The stats matter more (dmg,durability) rank doesn’t matter to much u can find both good and bad items at all tiers. Just like Dino’s the level doesn’t matter to much but the stats do

I personally just left the difficulty on 1 without changing jts file and use the maximum difficulty so that i can found 150 dinos

I kinda worded that wrong level matters to a extent like a lvl 10 Rex isn’t going to be nowhere as good as a lvl 150 taming wise ,however a lvl 149 Rex might have better health or melee then a 150 taming ..and when it comes to breeding it’s mostly stats like the higher the level won’t matter as much but the stats the babies pop out with will

It not a shooter concept, Ark 2 is going back to Primitive style. If you haven't check out Prim Plus on ASE that why they stopped support on Prim Plus is to save any dev time on that concept for Ark 2.

Prim Plus is a much better version of ASE it just unfortunate that it couldn't be patched enough to fully function before support was killed to move the team on it to Ark 2. There certain resources you can't get normally cause they won't go in crafting stations they were intended for. There is so much more to Prim Plus aesthetic wise it lets you make base look easy 10x better than you can do in regular ASE servers

I play ASE over 95% of the time in 3rd person either way

I played unofficial for a bit with Anunaki: Genesis - then they started adding dragons and stuff into official so i went back to that.

I'd say i play in 3rd person most of the time until it's time to shoot something.

Tranqing a dino and get a no damage hit marker was always good.

yeah - next thing you know your out of ammo / dura and 0 torp on the target. that was usually a bug that you could fix by swapping weapons real quick though, the problem was detecting it.

ASA is a massive upgrade, dinos, maps, etc are all being rebuilt from scratch hence why they are releasing them individually. All existing maps are included in the base game cost of $39.99. Only map that will have to be bought is the ASA exclusive one that will follow after.

I get that we're paying for the devs to learn how to use UE5, and I'm fine with that but the meshes and textures, how the game renders, etc shouldn't have an effect on the backend data. You have 100 widgets in your inventor and your level 186 character that knows all the engrams.... that should be portable, that's data that has nothing to do with how pretty something is.

ASA isn't confirmed to release on gamepass. As I discussed with Iris earlier, my best guess is it may likely replace ASE at some point as Xbox has been known to keep newer versions on gamepass.
