myself i play like this :
any strictly utility dinos that arent dependent on stats(for example egg layer dinos for kibbles) : any level , preferably lowest lvls to tame it easy and fast
any utility dinos that need a stat like stamina (for the owl to heal to help with taming or to heal your own dinos) or weight (for berry or wood and stuff) : anything above 100
any Important utility dinos ex : anky , doed that need high dmg for high loot : max lvl available
anything that you use to fight : max lvl available because you need all the stats high to fight with them , such as hp , dmg and maybe stamina in some cases. ALL fighter dinos that you want to use Only to fight will be kind of useless if you tame them at like lvl 50 out of 150 or something.

yeah, thats mostly it. you only need the higher levels if you need the stats. snowls for instance don't need it for gacha feeding

guys is there any dates or assumptions When in August will ark ascended release? its just that my school starts at the beginning of september and i dont want ark ascended to release like 28 august so i play it just 2-3 days 😩

I really wish that fishing in ark would be shown some love. The loot table hasnt changed since release. So many new dinos and new saddles but fishing still pulls up the same 19 base dino saddles, some of which are just platforms of the same saddles. There are 473 dinos in ark according to the fandom page. Now I know not all are rideable but a lot are. That means though fishing you can only get 4% of all the dinos in the games saddles....

You need to change the imprinting setting so it gives more percentage per imprint and make the growing setting a bit higher.

rexes are the most commonly used one, but since it's your first time, probably a good idea to just stick to theris

As someone who’s put almost 30 hours into ark in ps4 and now I have a ps5, is there any hope for having fun in ark? I don’t like the idea of pve servers and I have no friends that play ark, and I don’t think official is an option since my base never survives. Could I eventually survive on a small tribe server solo? I guess I just wanna know some tips.. server wise.

Well you need a max rhyno mom

high drag weight dino Ie bronto

and then statisfy all cravings

to get the best levels

which is still random but the best one could get

yeah have done that, but I dont get it entirely. For example I am on an unofficial. Say the max is 300 wild. Take a giga with best drag weight, fill all cravings, but the levels never go above like 390

usually 300 wilds because taming effectiveness, get too 450

So that's why I am trying to understand more how the levels are really calculated

Well from my testing, on official. The highest I could get was under 218. That was using a bronto at level 225 and a rhy at 150

All cravings satisifed

Granted if I had a higher level creature, the rhy would of had more levels.

I hear mutated dinos though, are the best way to go

My theory is that say tame is max wild 300 on unofficial. Then you bring like a mutated giga that has what, like 100 points in HP stat (hypothetical) and then you go through the steps, get it pregnant, then the Rhy some how gets that HP stat from the giga at 100% craving filled. Say the Rhy originally had like 40 PT in its HP originally. So what, 100 pt - 40 pt = 60 additional levels?

Otherwise I don't understand how it truly should work, because there's no taming effectiveness, only fulfilling cravings etc with max host size.

So I just went on my unofficial server and I got 3 R-brontos at level 499 with the same stats and use the same 150 rhyo.

Babies were level 319, 197 & 360.

The lvl 319 got 700 melee but only 8k health

where as the 360 got 200 melee but came out with 22k health

I completed all 5 cravings by the way

I'm being honest it makes more sense to take the exact stat then divide it by the Rhys base stat to calculate its pts because all the tests I've done or people have done on my cluster, the levels don't make sense when you calculate based off of points

Based on points I mean

If you look at the points, those 2 carried 3 points in the same stat but the actual stat was calculated based the Rhys base stat

Got the 68 PT oxy, 87 PT food, and 79 PT in weight. Like the bronto

319 Rhy
Got the 68 PT in oxy, 79 PT in weight and 90 PT in melee like bronto

Do u have a raft with walls? Or even another flyer to go back to ya tame and whistle follow? Its always good to keep a rex or spino or something when in or around swamp if ya dont have a giga. I used to have a spot in areas of swamp i use so if i did die i could spawn nearby n not have to fight my way all the way back in
