could you make and afk xp farm for your dinos where many pairs of high level dinos are constantly laying eggs and then the eggs roll down a ramp into a room filled with air conditioners. Then when they hatch you have a dino in that room set to aggressive that will continually eat the babies when they hatch

I know they have said that we will be able to download all our stuff and transfer it to a single player server... but a couple of people have said that your download will be the "entire map" so everything on it will be transferable. Does this mean I get all the bases and all the stuff in the bases of other tribes? How does that work?

People have also said that all dinos need to be out of cryo balls in order to be "counted" for your download. Anyone heard this?

well, imprinting for one, there's no tames/items in game that help you imprint over time in vanilla, which is one of the most time consuming, but essential, things to do in game.

Never made sense to me that people are expected to treat a video game like a full time job

the other thing is a bit more novelty, and that's combat. I just think it'd be hilarious if it was a viable boss strategy to alternate rex rushing with "bring 18 giga raptors, a yuty, and one baby". Also just rewarding interesting playstyles because I love unexpected synergy in games

They need to be rendered yes. Or rather, you need to manually colect (and crack the crystals). Don't remember how much obsidian per crystal they give, but the definitely give more than any rich obsidian spawn ever could. Just chuck em out in a place in base where you have easy access too, farm berries with stryders (or brontos, kangaroo, whatever berry gatherer u fancy), convert to seeds with iguanodon and feed and collect crystals while you do stuff around the base. Also you give get ton of grindable items, so you'll be farming metal, polymer and bunch of other stuff passively. Level crafting skill as much as needed for seeds to give max amount of obsidia per crystal and put other points into weight so then can carry more pellets and seeds. Also park a few owl for gachas to collect the pellets on their own too.

I think its more likely that some official players move to unofficial. Official players setting up unnoficial with the server save of their official servers is unlikely. Nothing one can do on one map alone and hosting servers with all maps is expensive and very time consuming.

Yeah, official is way more toxic than unofficial. Stealing, wild dino kiting , cheating and other nastiness is not allowed or tolerated on unnoficial. Official has 0 admin support, while unnoficial exist because active admin support. Wast majority anyway. There trash unofficial too.

Bee hives are always buggy. Best bet is to get honey from the bee caves on crystal or fjordur
