You can't pillar down because if you put ceilings on the outside it says to far away from platform, and so put ceilings on the inside and start pillaring down through the center, but like 2 pillars down and it starts to say to far from the platform. And you can only place the platform in deep water otherwise I'd try to find a super flat shallow spot and try to get the pillars to connect to the ground.

Use thatch instead of wood as the fuel, if you're using a basic cooking pot. Charcoal makes red dye. Only have water, tintoberries, and narcotics (and possibly thatch if a fuel is needed) in there.

If you go diving into Rockwell's Proliferation then yeah that's super deadly, obviously

As far as starting: Genesis 2 generally assumes you know what you're doing and so it doesn't really pull its punches. The tek suit can be nice for early game movement, but it doesn't make you immortal and it's easy to get into that mindset without experience otherwise

The absolute safest place on all of Gen 2 to base up would probably be the center "Tek trench" in the green half of the map

Called Echo/Castle sector depending on where exactly you are in it

Only a handful of wild animal spawns, none of which are dangerous

unless a t rex falls down from the cliff overlooking it or something but i've only seen that happen once, and that was my fault anyway

So, what does one do if their character is broken on one server but fine on others? Our home map, Rag, I'm just crashing on. Alt accounts can play fine. When I'm finally able to transfer, I'm having no issues.

I crash on top of TPs when I'm looking at them. I get the text box glitch when trying to type in any inv or chat. I currently cannot download my main onto Rag without the game freezing. When I die, the game also freezes when I'm trying to pick a bed. When I transferred back, my game froze once again. It all started when I was opening a few cryo fridges, otherwise I've been fine all day with no problems.

High level pachies and scorpions are good, but have the highest chance to kill a creature and are rather squishy and slow. They can easily get killed by what you are taming if it isn't trapped.

Mantis can be equipped with clubs, probably making them the most powerful creature to be able to tame others. Quite squishy too though, but good mobility to get away and strike back.

Equus are fast and heavy hitting, probably the best if they have been bred to high levels of equus power. (That's a thing on PC, right?)

On the island, level distribution itself is bugged, so the likelihood of you finding high/max level dinos is going to be an issue no matter what your difficulty is. You would need to recode or use a mod to fix it.

I've only ever played mobile ark (which is insanely hard and broken) before I played pc. The map I chose was fjordur. I was instantly in love.

But I get you. Man. It's harsh and crazy.

it is very beautiful and I’ll definitely return to it and to be fair aside from the start it was relatively smooth

I don’t think so? I set up a base on a tiered waterfall and was frequented by alpha raptors

the last time I played I explored the volcano before my argy was burned to smithereens by a wyvern that came out of nowhere

for such a beautiful map it really doesn’t like you to move around too much hehe

Theriz are difficult to find on most maps. I like the genesis arctic. Decent spawns there, without the low levels of the island through extinction.
