i usually get parasaur when i have a slingshot, trike when i have a crossbow, then a pteranodon and then i use the ptera to get an argy.

getting an argy can be dangerous it just depends. i always find a nice high hill and put down 4 dino gates and 2 doors on the first/last gates then lead the argy in it means the argy stays safe and you dont get jumped when tranqing it

hey guys i have a question about the leveling system and difficulty in the game. So I only recently started playing ark and so my immidiate thought was to put the "difficulty" slider in the general settings down to lower than it was. When I created my singleplayer world on the island i had the difficulty at 0.15x. Now I started watching ark related content and noticed how EVERYONE had difficulty way up so that the dinos were levels up to 180 in some cases, where as mine were mostly under level 20. My questions is weather or not it is worth starting a whole new world just to impliment this different level system and be able to have higher leveled dinos?

you dont need to start a new world to have higher lvl dinos but if you change it mid way through anything you currently have will become terrible and you will have to re tame anything that you think may be good for now.

everything will be low in terms of stats of low lvl dinos which is why 150 is preferred for everyone (180 or more if pc) so that you have better stats and such.

for you i would suggest learning the game, the layout of the map(s), the dinos (their aggression, habits, etc) and when you feel comfortable doing it you can raise the difficulty. if you have it at .15 right now if you feel like raising it maybe try .5 first and not fully 1 so that you work your way up and not take the first step and then try to leap onto the 5th step

but once again another thing i noticed when looking at tutorials and just ark contect in general online, is that even in night time most peoples brightness is wayyyyy higher up. when its night time for me its literally pitch black dark unless i have a torch or a camp fire, meaning its basically unplayable at night. i either have to resort to commands to make it day which i really dont want to do because i feel like its cheating or just wait until its day again which is like 15 mins

when you load into SP you can change settings. usually difficulty 1 is max lvl 150. if its already that then there are just lower lvls around there in which sometimes that happens. kill low lvls for higher lvls to have the chance to spawn

Yeah, just take everything, its PVP so it shouldn't be an issue even if your on unofficial with admins and such, just make sure before you say "we're tired of you" or anything like that just take it all and leave then tell him about it or else the second he hears you're leaving he'll kick you all out, I haven't done PVP, but that's what I would do honestly, I wouldn't put up with a moment of that crap

Gamma is +5, beta is +10, and alpha is +15, as for the bosses that increase level cap, rockwell prime, corrupted master controller, aberration rockwell, island overseer

And you can't do gamma 3 times let's say for +15 it doesn't stack that goes for all difficulties

But yeah if you do alpha it will give you +15 which is the max additional level you can earn from each boss I listed @lethal turret

Hello I have been running into an issue, my friend has recently started a Non BattlEye server on his spare PC and I am currently running into a "BattlEye Launcher" Install loop, everytime it gets to loading 1 mod it crashes and tells me to install BattlEye and was wondering if anyone knew of any fixes for this?

I have currently:
Uninstalled and Reinstalled BattlEye
Uninstalled and Reinstalled the game
Reset my pc
Reset Steam
Ran it with BattlEye
Ran it with BattlEye
Verified files
Deleted the BattlEye folder in %localappdata% and reinstalled

get the mod simple spawners. it allows you to add any dino in and have them set to spawn in the area you choose to the minimum and maximum amount that you set

only thing is theres a chance they wont be clinging to anything tho. havent really tested that one

You don't need a mod. You can add 'ConfigAddNPCSpawnEntriesContainer' to the Game.ini file to have specific dinos spawn in specific regions. I have snow owls, griffins and velonasaurs on my Valguero map using that, so it's more like what the Valguero creators came up with.

Get explorer notes level up and increase your weight capacity, then make your base out of wood, eventually upgrade to stone

Taming some Dino’s that have high weight caps can help with building

to me the only thing worth it to tame a giga is 135+ in a 150 max server

so about a 162 in a 180 max

I tamed a 145 giga and I've put some points into melee and it does 970 damage per bit. That's tamed and no mutations. A bred one would do more, but I haven't found a mate yet.
