I do not agree, we are running at default settings for most stuff, and most our resources is constantly put into repairing stuff. like 90% of all we gather is taken by repairs.

And when a simple cannon costs 600 iron (which btw, takes us roughly 4 hours to gather), stuff gets pretty tedious and we feel like we never progresses.

We tried to venture to the north recently, and we CONSTANTLY get attacked by pack after pack of wolfs and boars. When we finally managed to take them all down (roughly 40 boars and 30 wolfs, in waves), there spawned a big furry black dino on hind legs that clipped into raft base and destroyed 10 large storage and all craft benches.

That is when we decided to ditch the game 😛

On my sister and my server we have basically nothing to do anymore so to not waste the server rent we put up the breed settings for fun. I know that somewhere around 255 is the maximum a stat can have if you wanna be able to level it, but is there a maximum for the dino itself? Or can you just get all stats to 255

Harvesting dinosaurs make your life easier- Doed for stone, anky for metal. Don't even have to be good ones to get you started. Doed's scattered all over the place, anky is even more scattered all over the place. Sounds like you're on the island- Herbivore Island is a great, safe place to acquire an anky or two

The north of the island is intended to be a later-game area you come to when you're well equipped and have dinosaurs that will look at those packs of wolves and go "Oh boy! Free lunch!"

At some point also set up a farm and get some good egg layers- You're probably taming everything with raw meat/berries, and working up to better taming supplies cuts down how long tames take signifigantly

Even at 1x (which, again, at bare minimum boost that up to 3/4x even if you boost nothing else)

Ark is a game about turning all the nasty things that are trying to kill you into nasty things on your side

Also, you don't need packs of dinosaurs following you all at once until you're fighting bosses/things like OSDs or Genesis missions. A single dinosaur you're riding is all you need for 99% of things you're doing

I'm talking about domination rex, a mod from the same guy that made Ark Additions. They're a mod dinosaur that's got a lot of abilities (The indominus rex from jurassic park. They were originally the indominus rex from jurassic park) and get a buff when fighting bosses

How exactly you tweak your rates is up to personal taste- A server I used to play on had about 3x rates for harvesting and 3 or 4x for taming

Baby wyvern had 5560 health when born. Not as high as the mothers which sucked. Once it hit the imprint and I force fed it milk (not related to the imprinting - it just wanted cuddles) it’s health suddenly jumped to 9367, which is the mothers stat. The baby also has a mutation from her side. What caused this? Imprinting 100%? Force feeding the milk? Or the mutation? I’m just confused because it came out of the egg with less health so I’m like wat

You can just fight him on the easiest mode, and his health is fairly low- He's only got 25k on gamma. Bring a bunch of things that can deal with all his minion spam and a really good gun

They weren't melting him because he was deadly or anything, they weren't melting him literally because they weren't hitting him, and I didn't catch on to that fast enough

This is also happening to fully matured Dinos. It doesn’t matter if I unclaim first or kill them while tamed. No harvesting no bags just poof. This is the Fjordur map btw. Any ideas?

Bulbdog- Their presence in the fertile zone makes them the most easily accessible, so they're really good to start with and are easy to build up a lot of for breeding projects. They have the most health and charge capacity at base.
Shinehorn- Best recharge speed. Goat.
Glowtail- Best charge radius I believe. Lays eggs so you can stockpile a bunch of eggs when breeding.
Featherlight- Also has decent charge radius. Also lays eggs. Flies. However, they are only in the red zone.

I have 2 raptors, both wild tames. After taming but before leveling, they both have 500 melee. I mated them and their offspring came out at 350 melee. How is that possible, I thought the offspring have one of the parents stat (after tame bonus but before leveling stats)

i absolutely hate taming a rex in a busy area, You basically have to kill every dino within a mile radius of it so it doesn't get distracted while you lure it to your trap. But as it moves so does the radius. So there's always more dinos to kill. I think I had to kill 200 dinos before i got this one to the trap.

Anyone know about the fjordur file save corruption I think it keeps happening to me cause Whenever I turn my laptop off my ark rules reset, my mods delete themself, and my character and progress is deleted the only thing that remains is the you died message when log in which will happen when I'm 100% safe. When I start the game usually it doesn't load and gives me some string of codes so I have to load it again :/

You can prevent this by often typing the command "saveworld" and each time before opening the game manually copying all the save files for that map in another folder. Then if you experience this again just replace the files with the last save files you have with the character and tribe files as well.
