if you overwrote your character, its permanent i think.
however you will get a prompt asking you if you want to "overwrite" your current char on this server, or abort. if you click on "cancle/abort" or whatever you will get thrown back into the main menu and your character that you have transferred with, will be in the cloud to be downloaded on another server

proto arks wouldve been cool, but theyre literally just old maps summarized and thats pretty boring. ext also strays away from the usual formula (like new plant species, resource bug, new armour set etc). city has most of the resources which demotivates exploring the other proto arks even more

both pcs have integrated graphics, so your graphics are done on the CPU, just in a separate chip, but on the same package.

amount of VRAM matters little for your problem.

just to be sure: is postprocessing set to medium or higher in your quality settings, and you're not running with any command line params like -low?

i saw a mention of launching the game directly from the EXE: keep in mind, setting launch parameters in Steam only applies to launches via Steam, and not any external ones.

I feel like when I use flyers, I basically bypass interacting with game itself (the dinos, environment, hazards, hidden areas, etc) if you're just flying over everything. Kinda like skipping everything. You trade a bird's eye view of the land against being able to discover many hidden areas that you could easily miss by flying over everything.

Also, the map feels bigger doing stuff on the ground versus using fliers that can cross the whole map in minutes

It's nice to use ground dinos for exploring and traveling with friends. However, if you want to go faster and safer, then yeah, flyers are your go to if you don't wanna have to deal with anything

Last thing, lots of caves, especially on the newest map, don't allow fliers...soo gotta get some groundies

If it's in a cluster, yes. Make sure there is nothing in or on the dino when you upload, including saddles.

You can upload items to transfer in the Ark Data tab. When you're all done, then transfer/upload your character.

It’s slow and has low health compared to something it’s size. I agree, it looks cool as fuck and I try to tame when when I get the time, but it’s not good for much else besides looks and maybe base defense if you really plan it out

technically yes, but that is not the most efficient or ideal way to do it
normally you want clean (0/20) females as you can easily get a ton for multiple eggs, and then have a male that carries the mutations
breed till you get a mutated baby, and then if it is a mutated female, breed it with the already mutated male until you get the new mutation into a male offspring
then replace the former mutated male breeder with the new mutated baby/now adult male

As long as those females don't have mutations yes. At some point you will have to down breed by finding low level females so you don't reach max level. Get a stud male with just the stats you want

When I completed extinction I noticed that the credits listed Vin Disel as a voice credit in Ark 1. But like... As far as I could tell at that point he wasn't? Santiago's voice never popped up in any of the Genesis chronicles notes, and it still hasn't in Genesis 1.

Does Santiago have any lines in Genesis 2 or did they just credit Vin despite the fact he's not in the game for some reason?

I like how most of the Genesis missions can reasonably be assumed to be tests of survival ability in some way- Hunting down specific animals, exploring the area, retrieving valuable objects. Even race missions can be extrapolated to be good tests of survival ability, as being able to move quickly and efficiently around an area is very important
