Scorched Earth and Aberration are too difficult for a beginner, as is Extinction and Genesis 1. Genesis 2 is too easy in my opinion, it's basically the reduced grind retirement home of ark. The island is the best story map to start on, and the mod maps are good too.

Island's map design is cohesive, progression is well defined down to the location of resources, all its spawns function. Works well for noflyers and flying alike. Only real downside is the ocean but it's shit on almost every map so not much competition

Thats crazyt, it asks for a second check if you try to transfer all items in your inventory

yet if you do something that would wipe your entire character and dinos and base, no....just away you go....thats fucked up

Today I tamed a trike and it would not respond to my "ALL" whistle commands or my "go to" command .. nor would it respond to behavior of agression, neutral, attack my target, or passive.. but it would respond to "YOU" while commands.. anyone have any thoughts on why it does this? everythig else in the past I have tamed, no issue with that

Little tip I use my Otter for: Mines not a huge lvl, maybe 40/50, it reduces the weight of anything else, so I store all my Ammo, some Armor and Weapons in and keep him on my shoulder… when I need anything, Chuck him off, transfer everything into my inventory and I’m ready for the fight

Quite a big subject is Breeding/Mutating, I can’t seem to DM you so the Basics are find the Highest lvl you can but with good stats in the right place, that’s the one you wanna keep, then find a female with high lvl and stats where you want them, then they fall in Love and make mongrel/inbred dinos which hopefully inherit and/or mutate into high lvl Dino but with amazing stats from its parents, and then you breed that little cutie and so on so forth til you end up with a brilliant Dino that you put numerous lvls into and it becomes your fierce but loyal savage Dino eating monster

the lvl at taming is like how good its genetics are

if you tame it at low lvl it will always be weaker than a higher lvl tamed one

and only stats at taming get passed on to its babies

you can only withdrawal one stack at a time, and you're still limited on weight. I can pull out as much as I can, drop it, repeat, then pick it all back up. But is there a better way?

My understanding is the primitive hatchet is sometimes better than using a dino (depending on the dino) and sometimes worse, and an upgraded one is better more often. And a chainsaw beats all, afaik.

If the regen is at 1000 you get 10 charge a tick, 2000 - 20. This just let's it charge faster while on.

No. Let's say you have 100 charge. With 100 regen, that will last for 100 seconds, and recharge in 100 seconds.

If you have 1000 regen it will last for 100 and recharge in 10 seconds.
