I can't join maps like valguero, fjordur, ragnarok, crystal isles, etc. When I try to join it does everything normal but at the end instead of entering the map I get sent back to the main menu (on singleplayer) even tho I did everything normal and downloaded the dlcs

The dino is too small for it's hit box to reach it. Like it can hit everything bigger or in front, but has a spot just under it where it can't hit. But then that begs the question. Does that mean you aren't allowed to use small dinos to kill it? Does it have to be big dinos only?

one thing that fixed my pc:
i ran ark and other games fine for a long time, but all of a sudden it started shutting off my pc. after some research, turned out the motherboard shuts the pc when it overheats to not fry the rest of the components.
1: make sure your pc vents aren't blocked
2: make sure you clean up your pc of dust as it may cover fans and such which makes it overheat
3: make sure you have thermal paste over your cpu.

after i cleaned up my pc and used some paste, i stopped having the shutting down issues

one good way is to look at whether it's intended or not
the dragon having a blind spot in that sorta location isn't intended

To explain what i mean, how i see the carchar could be is this

Taming method: You gotta wait for it to roar and feed it element, dust, shards, or hard element and when you do it enters a glowing state that lets you shoot tranqs into it easier. However with each piece of element you give it, the hungerier it gets and you gotta make sure it doesnt go after anything to eat or it will ruin the taming

Tamed: when it eats a piece of element it gains an attack and small defense buff but in return it makes it hungry faster and if you cant manage the food youll end up getting it enraged and it goes crazy. Its main ability is if it attacks a structure it can rip the materials out of that structure making it a good recycler for pvp when you want to foundation wipe someone

also, i stand by my assertion that mutations should have a chance to go up or down, as long as it’s a separate chance from each other, like 7% positive and 7% negative, it wouldn’t make things any harder cuz no mutation is just as bad as a bad mutation and it would teach the kids about evolution by natural selection
