So theres two types of taming bonuses (technically three but the third isn’t used for most creatures)

  1. Both taming bonuses (additive and multiplicative as seen in the screenshot) are applied after imprint, which is applied after base and wild points. All of the former are applied before tamed points (ie player levels).
  2. The multiplicative bonus is effected by taming effectiveness. For example, if a creature was tamed with 50% te, the mult. bonus would be half as much. Likewise, if the creature was tamed with 25% te, the mult. bonus would be a quarter as much, or 0.25x as strong.
  3. The first type which is applied first is the additive. For health this is almost always 0.07 unless used in a nerf like for a giga or griffin (where the value is negative). The difference is negligible so you can pretty much ignore it for health. The only other additives are torpor (which again is negligible) and melee. Melee is almost always 7%, but can be 5.6% as seen in the andrewsarchus screenshot below (can also be a nerf like in gigas and wyverns). The add. bonus is a straight up addition, so if the melee were 100%, it would become 105.6% after the add. bonus is applied. If it were 200%, it would become 205.6% after the add. bonus is applied. The additive bonus is not affected by taming effectiveness
  4. The next bonus is the multiplicative bonus. This bonus is applied after additive and is (I think) the last value before tamed levels. For food, this bonus is always 15%. For melee, this bonus is almost always 17.6%, but can also be 15.4% like shown in the screenshot (generally isn’t a nerf). The mult. bonus is a multiplier, so you would take 15.4% of the value and add it to the number (or in other words, multiply by 115.4%). If the melee was 100%, it would become 115.4% after the mult. bonus is applied. If the melee was 200%, it would become 230.8 after the mult. bonus is applied (15.4% of 200 is 230.8). The multiplicative taming bonus is affected by taming effectiveness

We round this up because taming effectiveness is (almost) never 100%, and so the result is 50 points. We can check this using an incubator, admin gun or mods.

As you can see from the screenshot (which is a wyvern’s stats), it doesn’t have any multiplicative (this is consistent with every creature). To “undo” its stats, all you have to do is undo the additive (this is not necessary unless its a negative, because if the additive is not a nerf, it will be 0.07 which is so negligible that you can ignore it) by adding +785 in this case. Then you undo any imprint and subtract the base 1295, and divide by 194.25

the first time i tried taming andrews i spent like 2 hours trying to tame this same one, not knowing about the 'if it gets attacked during taming you can't ever tame it again' thing

Uhm, I dont know about never again. It should be tamable again, but I dont know all the mechanics with andrews. most wilds just need time or derendeirng to be able to tame them again. Except tropicals, sometimes those need to be KO to reset it's willingness to be tamed.

There are some creatures in Ark, I just wont let myself tame. Some of it is just too much for me, Ark should be fun imo, not a pain. That sucks that andrews was made the way it was. Some critters I may never tame. jerboasad

how do we play maps like fjordur, valguero, ragnarok, etc on singleplayer? I selected the map and clicked on "play singleplayer" and it was goping well, but when it was supposed to enter the map it sent me back to the main menu and after that I can't even try to enter those maps. can any1 help me?
