its a thing in files that can stop creatures and resources from respawning, in a nutshell.

Preventing hibernation fixes resource and dino respawn bugs, and allows buff-based mods (that apply their mods only in specific circumstances) to work, allows the S+ dino finder to work properly, and I do highly recommend running with the launch paramater. But I do have to warn that if you later re-enable hibernation (remove the launch option), it can cause crashes. This seems to be able to be fixed by launching with certain launch params and dinowiping, but I've not run any save like that for an extended amount of time so I can't say if it's 100% effective in the long term or not. You'll need to add it to the steam launch paramaters- Right click on ark on steam, properties. Add exactly this- Hyphen included- -preventhibernation
It also increases ram usage quite a bit, but is very much worthwhile

Mutations are random occurrences that boost a stat and change a color. To get them you should combine stats of male and female dinos until you have the best stats out of them on a male and lots of females. You do not necessarily get mutations by combining male and female stats

i found a weird bug yesterday

i was carrying an egg that my tamed deinonychus laid, then made a stop to steal some random eggs from wild deinons, picked up 3 eggs (i'm sure i picked them up!!), then went to check the levels in my inventory and none of them were there

seems that if you try to pick up a wild deinon egg with one of your own deinon eggs in your inventory, they just disappear

yep, if u use doorframes u can shoot it thru the gaps

there are fancier traps on youtube that use less resources, but that will work

If you want to go caving, I’d tame a wolf or a saber. Megatheriums or thylas are much better but its hard to get those at your stage

They could be boss fighters but youd have to put a little more effort in than other boss fighters

Wolves lives in the snow biome and the other 3 can be found in the redwoods. Sabers are also in the snow and mountainous areas
