hey, reposting my spreadsheet from earlier as apparently it doesn't violate the rules. I used binomial distribution to calculate the odds that a creature of a given level would have a given number of points in 1-6 stats. This is the probability of creatures 5-150 having 1 (blue), 2 (red), and 4 (yellow) stats greater than or equal to the average for a 150.

tl;dr: Taming 135s isn't really a good idea, and for truly maximizing stats 140s aren't as good either. While being considered breedable levels, 135s only have a 1 in 3 chance of having one stat be higher than 150 average, and only a 1 in 7 chance of having all 4 useful stats be higher than the 150 average.

These are the odds that normal creatures (blue), tek creatures (red), and wyverns/drakes (yellow) have 2 stats higher than the average for a max level. The problem of having lower leveled creatures being largely inferior is exacerbated when you get into 190 creatures.

This graph essentially shows the proportional difference between difficulty offsets. While changing the difficulty does increase stats on paper, the gap between a level 27•offset (135 on official) and a level 30•offset (150 on official) doesn't change much, especially compared to the additional narcotic cost. You have difficulty 1 (blue), difficulty 4 (red), difficulty 5 (yellow) and difficulty 6 (green).

(disclaimer- my data on 2 stats being higher than the 150 average is flawed. I couldn't find a way to perform a multinomial cumulative distribution on google sheets, so the probability includes cases where a creature has 41 points into health and 1 into melee, which obviously isn't useful. But the odds of this are about 1 in 100,000,000,000 (100 billion) so I'm not too concerned about the impact.)

I'm pretty sure cryopods can bug out and turn the creatures in them into lvl 1s with different colors when downloaded from the obelisk, so maybe thats not such a good idea...
