scorched surely was something of a wild ride, even if it took me only 18 days in-game to kill the alpha manticore and call it quits
the whole context is that i'm doing a personal challenge to beat all history maps in order in an 100 day style. so far the island took me 69/ 70-ish days (the overseer fight extended till day 70), and scorched ended up for me on the dusk of the 19th day, and now moving to ab where i'm already settling down with some gear back from both maps, and honestly its been very fun so far.

So, while riding my dear Sibyl close to the Red Obelisk, after a failed search for a Carcharo, I found a level 63 female Spino in the wild.
Sibyl has this wonderful black-purple color scheme.

I looked closer, and she was a perfect foil to my Sibyl, also being black, but with green sails and snout!

Words couldnt' express how much I NEEDED to tame her.

And so I did!
99.8% taming effectiveness, for a beast of a level 94 tame.

I love this screenshot, grabbed it during my very first ever ascension from Extinction, after beating the King Titan for the first time! Which map's ascension is your favorite? This one was awesome, but for me... I think the Island will always be my favorite, it was my first one and I was so excited and moved to have finally accomplished that goal, that I was in tears when I heard that music for the first time.

I based the general design off it, but changed it so it matches the skeleton structure of the dinosaur I am submitting, i.e. removing antenna extra wings, lowered the bottom lobe of the tail because that's how flying fish actually fly, etc. Also I kept the Gar head because it looks cool lol

I don’t know if that’s a compliment or insult but it reads like an insult, the only Maewing thing about it is maybe an ability to belly slide but it’s less plow through whole forests and more boost of speed on land sort of thing like an otter. After a good bit of thinking I've decided my submission for The Center, or the submission after for Extinction will be my last, the votes have taken more of a mental toll on me than expected and I think it's best I take a break from them.

With the votes out the way my creatures will now be made for a conceptual ARK map called Empodius, which will add many of my own creatures including my personal takes on some popular submission creatures. Here's an early WIP of Enhydriodon ostosyntriptiko. I'll give more info on what this guy does in the future.

Super hella random, but I had this weird idea for the future, the Devoratrix, a crazed, powerful beast that would be unstoppable, to get past, players would have no choice other than to sneak around, silently. Much like the summoner, they use light from their eyes to catch a helpless survivor. This would be absolutely perfect for Ragnarok's dark cave, wouldn't match with the Ragnarok vibe, but that would just make an encounter with this flesh shredding devourer even more unexpected and terrifying. Believe it or not I've met people who had no idea about k mode, so I try not to make assumptions. 😆 Most of the additional poses I've seen are either base game emotes, or from the mod Additional Emotes. Additional Emotes also gives you additional poses for standing, sitting, laying down etc.
