Get some Carchas, mate them until you have a small army. Make sure they all have saddles. If you can, place a Tek forcefield (on a metal foundation) near the OSD, before starting it. It helps to have a velonasaur (on turret mode) or tanky Dino parked next to the OSD. Get on the velo/tank and whistle follow all so the carchas don't wander too far. And whistle the carchas to aggressive. Then start the OSD, hop on one of the carchas, and have at it

I’ve found that putting them on aggressive for the OSDs is not great bc than they can get away from the group . Sometimes even too far away to keep an eye on!! Neutral should work fine. But it doesn’t hurt to try it and you can see what works the best . Which map are you trying this on ?
Yes max Carchs would definitely be good . I like to bring a few good leveled Argys too and flyers though . You’d be surprised how many flyers come join the fun . And then other drops I’m like where is everyone!!!

Also the Dino’s can get glitch or decide to get lost in eating other Dino’s so if your not moving on to the next wave I found it easier to walk around a bit and see if there’s any others stuck somewhere!!

That's why I put another Dino next to the OSD (inside the forcefield radius), on passive or turret mode, and whistle the carches to follow it, so they don't get too far away. There may be better ways to do OSD, but this works for me

The best way to be honest. You can get them on drops but you have to be lucky with that and it’s super random. You can craft them from silica pearls but that also needs the fabricator for that ! So until you have that ; yes tek Dino’s are going to give you the most for the island
