So bascially you want to add mods to your own server or is that you are asking if you can use single player mods on other people's servers? When running your own server/cluster, mods that are whitelisted do not need to be added to the launch command line, but all other mods need to be added. For other private servers it is the same, the server owner has to add the mods to the launch options/command line for you to be able to use them unless they're official whitelisted.

In short, anything other than single player/non-dedicated needs non whitelisted mods added to the launch params.

astraeos is a adopted map made by nekatus who is a well respected map creator in the community (he also made valgeuro and fjordur, I suspect he's making atlantis too?) while community adopted maps were free in ASE, that doesnt mean they have to all be free in ASA too

the other maps were ASE DLC that we have all previously bought... so instead of paying for already paid for content, we got bobs tall tales (and true tales for the genesis arc) which costs what you'd pay for the maps anyways

lost colony is an ASA unique dlc, which is why its paid

running a game like ark aint free, wildcard gonna make that bank somehow
