Have you tried to play it logged into a different playstation account ?

incase re-starting it didn't do the trick, if you're locked into an EOS session force changing it, will force you to log out

usually fixes EOS issues , which is what you seem to be describing

Me & Paragon have had to come to the rescue a few times asa has messed up server hosters 🤣
I think the latest mess worth to mention was all servers with stackable items got screwed..
Paragon managed to find a fix and we helped deliver it, but a lot of servers had to wipe because of it..

Minor update, is smaller updates that won’t impact the game majorly, such as bug fixes, exploits, crashes etc
Major update tend to be larger, they would include major bug fixes, optimisations, map launches, creature drops/TLC

just look at minecraft. it has GB sized updates sometimes. its less then a hundred times smaller then ark.

The updates are so large because of the way ASA is packaged with the Unreal Devkit. Unreal Engine games can be distributed either as individual asset files OR as giant package files. WC chose the latter because it actually takes up less space in PC/console storage, but it also means the patches are are bigger because they have to patch those giant package files instead of a few smaller ones.

I mean most minor updates are just fixing exploits, bugs or crashes, the last major update brought updates that majorly affected the game, like saddles in drops, etc, I’m not saying all fixy type things are only in minor updates, I just more meant they will be less impactful on the game whilst major updates tend to bring significant improvements that do impact the game more noticeably
