I can also not stress this enough, the way that the game gets patched, and mods get updated by Ark, it is extremely necessary to update the mod, exit the game.

Please note do not enter the maps....

Once you have excited the game, then the game will be good to go.

Failure to do this after a mod update, will potentially cause you issues in the game, and also may see structures disappear.

I really wish there was a better way to update mods, but it is what it is and not much we modders can do.

Guess why I haven’t been able to play ARK for 4 days:
I’m stuck with a 132.456 GB download.
The download takes 2 days and 7 hours.
The problem is that as soon as it finishes installing, a new version appears, as if I had never installed the previous one.
So another 132.456 GB download of a new version starts again.
My current download should finish around 2 a.m., and I see 63 at the end of the version number.
But I’m worried because I saw on Discord that another new version is coming.
Right now, I’m at 84% of the download.
What am I supposed to do: open a ticket or just complain all night?

The download takes a long time, but it installs.
The issue is that ARK releases patches all the time: barely every 2 or 3 days, there is a new version.
I paid 50 euros for ARK physical,
30 euros for Lost Colony with the Bob Tall Tales,
5 euros for the Fantastic Tames (Dread Mare),
and another 5 euros for the Pyromanes.
In total, that’s about 90 euros, almost 100.
And in the end, I end up with downloads that barely finish,
then I see a new version to install,
with the same number of GB
and the same download time.

Well a friend had a weak connection but after recalibrating the antennae ghe downloads sped up. Sadly your connectivity issues are not wildcard’s problem, they state clearly what internet speed is required and recommended in the steam store, and if the downloads take that long it isn’t that speed…. that makes them not legally responsible.

So I would try to improve that first if I were you, or submit a repory to steam about their download mirrors

This was an often asked question and someone clarified that this is due to ark’s data structure, it has to rebuild the packages with every patch if that’s what you mean. So it doesn’t work like other games. Other than that ask Playstation support about it, after WC pushes the content the delivery pipeline is handled by the platforms afaik.

We deactivated the wild dino kill with server restart at 30.12.25 and the defense missions started to spawn. 4.01.26 we activated the Dino kill again, they are still spawning and respawn.
