Any chance of a 'we will keep servers off till at least 'insert specific time' and hope the issues have been resolved by this time. If not we will update as and when. But rest assured they will stay off for the next 'insert specific amount of time'.

Just its 6.35am and I've got other things to do today than save myself and my tribemates who have all fallen asleep, so I'd like to know a specifc amount of time I have for a power nap.

I know its not your specific issue thats the cause right now, but if you could take control of what you can and say the servers will remain off for the next few hours at least, gives us a bit of respite from the waiting and constant checking.

Best part of them taking the servers down is all the dinos you are raising will stop maturing until you log back in. So if you log in 8 hours after the servers come back, your dinos will not have gained 8 hours of maturity.

Just to point out the obvious but the people who go to sleep will likely wake up after the servers are back up, and will likely have missed them being up for hours so yes people will loose progress despite servers being shut down currently, If they announced a specific time they intended to bring up servers it would at least allow people to plan for that outcome to mitigate losses, but wildcard won't do that.

EOS is a standalone software library + service that can be used with unreal engine, not required or part of it, and does not require it

They can intentionally delay restarting till a specific time to give people at least a minimum buffer zone though, with the condition that they may not be able to meet that deadline depending on issues from EOS, if they said "We intend to resume servers at 9am PST barring any continued issue from EOS" then that would both give people who will otherwise ruin they're sleep staying up watching for servers resume but also allow for Wildcard to keep their servers offline till the EOS issues are fixed if they persist beyond that deadline.

Let's not try to spread misinformation here. Snail Games does not have any stake in Epic Games. Snail Games does have a controlling interest in Wildcard however. The exact percentage is unknown however. However back to Epic Games, you may be thinking of Tencent which is a different company but it well known for buying various studios. Tencent purchased Funcom in 2020, and they do have a stake in Epic Games, not a controlling interest but enough to be a key shareholder alongside Sony and Disney.
